I've had more fun dressing for this pregnancy than I have my other two. I feel like my style is growing thanks to some of my favorite fashion blogs & and Pinterest. And, maybe I'm getting more confident as I get older
I thought it would be fun today to share some of my favorite maternity looks with y'all!
This spring, i've become more bold with colors and color combinations.
My navy and white stripe tank came from the maternity department at Old Navy. I paired it with a belt from New York and Company, and a green cardigan from Target.
I'm pretty sure I wore skinny maternity jeans on this day, but I think the look would be great paired with leggings.
I also added a mustard yellow bracelet.
On this day, I paired jeans with a grey and white stripe non-maternity tank. The tank was long enough that I could wear it through my first and most of my second trimester.
I wore a black wrap sweater over the tank and paired it with turquoise earrings.
This is probably my favorite look so far. I purchased the coral tank from the maternity section at Target and paired it with a green cardigan. (This is the same sweater in the first picture.)
I paired it with leggings and tall brown boots and a chunky blue necklace.
I was told this day that I looked like an Easter egg and that was fine with me! I loved the color combination!
I also buttoned the first tow buttons, to draw the cardigan in at the waist to draw the eye to the skinniest part of my mid-section, but it ended up framing my basketball of a belly too!
During the first part of my 2nd trimester I was able to wear a few shirts that were size medium. I paired this navy shirt from the Loft with a beige scarf.
And, here's a look from the very end of my first trimester. I purchased the stripe long sleeve shirt from The Loft and bought it in a size medium. I paired it with non-maternity stretchy skinny jeans and tall boots.
I actually pulled this top out the other day and was surprised the shirt still fit and felt long enough to cover my growing belly. This time, I paired it with a belt above my belly, jeans, and mustard flats.
I'm looking forward to the weather continuing to get warmer. I plan on purchasing a few more maxi skirts and pairing them with short sleeves (for work) and tanks. I think these will also work for after baby, because they'll help hide my post-baby body, but also give me more accessibility for nursing versus a dress.
Can't wait to share more maternity looks with y'all!
