G and I are huge fans of the Fresh Beat Band- maybe me more than her! I knew they were on tour, but every time I looked I was disappointed that they weren't coming to T-town. A few weeks ago, I happened to be scrolling through Facebook when I noticed a wall post from the official FBB page. (Yes, i'm a fan.) They were coming to T-town! I don't know how I didn't see it sooner, but I immediately looked at ticket prices and called DJ. We decided that I would take G, and he would stay home with MC. Besides, we needed a mommy-G night.
After ordering the tickets, I started thinking about G's outfit. I'm actually pairing up with Beth, the owner of Sweet Pickle Creations to make hair bows that match her twirly skirts, so I asked her to make G a FBB skirt. We chose turquoise, pink, and orange. I purchased a pink tank from Old Navy, and glammed it up with "Rockstar" bling. And, obviously, I made her a matching hair bow.We dropped MC off with her daddy, and took advantage of getting our only photo together of the night.
We ended up with amazing seats! I was a little nervous when I ordered the tickets because we ended up in the balcony, and I almost traded up our tickets that day for floor seats, but i'm glad I didn't. We had a great view and G never complained about not being able to see.
We enjoyed several of the most popular FBB songs!
G sat and watched a little, but she also danced like crazy!
I would highly recommend the concert to anyone that has kids who are FBB fans! It lasted about an hour. Twist and Shout were very interactive and went into the audience a few times. The fresh beats were also waving at kids, and getting close enough to the end of the stage so the fans up front could shake their hands. They even gave one little girl her very own Rockstar jacket! Which, made G very sad, that it wasn't her! They had well priced souvenirs too. The shirts were $25.00, while their CD was only $15.00. I told G that we should've purchased a CD, but she really wanted the light-stick, which was only $10.00.
The FBB is coming to Little Rock in October, and i'm so tempted to take her again! I would love to take her backstage to meet the band, so i'm trying to convince myself that it would be worth the $100.00 tickets.
I'm so glad that we went, and that G and I could enjoy the evening together without any distractions! And, it was her very first concert and she had a blast!
