Christmas 2 at Gee's

After spending the Sunday before Christmas at my grandma's, we headed home to get in our pajama's and to open presents with my parents, and brother's family. We weren't starving, so my mom fixed sandwiches, had shrimp, and made a cheeseball.

The girls always get to eat before the parents!
G was very excited to finally open presents!
My niece, A, totally cracks me up. She can make the funniest, most sarcastic faces I have ever seen! I would sit across the dinner table from her and start making faces and she would try her best to imitate them! It totally cracked me up!
Here's a family picture of my brother, sis-in-law, and A.
My mom made all of the girls these nap mats that she found from Pinterest. They absolutely loved them!
They all immediately layed down and tested them out. The little girls just layed on their pillows like they were ready for bed!
 DJ got body wash!
My SIL and I both got these pretty serving pieces. Because we both received them, my mom made us open them at the exact same time.
MC received a cabbage patch doll.
We purchased my mom a new make up bag, but my brother and SIL got her a Nook. She was so excited!
DJ also received a leaf blower and hedge trimmer.
G received a doctor's kit and immediately wanted to play with it! She is in love with Doc McStuffins and has had so much fun playing doctor!
My parents also got her a bean bag, but because they couldn't wrap it, they made her close her eyes.
She was so happy and immediately jumped on top of it!
Here's MC playing with a baby she received. MC loves babies! She's going to be the best big sister!
MC and A both received baby beds. My great-grandfather actually had made two baby beds for me when I was little. My parents refurbished the first one and gave it to G on her first birthday. The ones that MC and A received, were originally bunk beds that my great-grandfather made. My stepdad cut them apart, added spindles and a headboard and my mom made the bedding. The girls loved these! They both climbed on them like they were little beds for them!
MC and A had a hard time sharing. Poor A was not getting any sympathy from her parents so leave it to her aunt to give her lots of hugs and kisses!
And, this is the after math of Christmas at my mom's!
I'm so glad I didn't have to totally clean that mess up!

And, that my friends, should be the last of my Christmas posts for this year- yay!!!

Christmas Church & Grandma's House

I finally had a chance over the weekend to upload the rest of our Christmas photos! So, they'll be on the blog this week, and then on to our Liberty bowl pics, and I should be caught up in blog land!

The Sunday before Christmas, we were in Arkansas at my mom's house and went to their church. G went with my parents to Sunday school, and then we met them for the service.

Here's MC and I before church, minus her hair bow because it was in the truck.
 And DJ and MC.
After church, we grabbed a quick bite to eat and then went to my grandma's house for her birthday. She gave DJ and I our gifts since we couldn't make it to our family Christmas the week before.

She wanted to give me a memory of our girls-cruise from this summer, and gave my sister-in-law and I both her hair cement (Rave hair spray)..... this stuff worked wonders on the ship, and I've been using it since I received it, and my hair has never been better set!
My grandma gave us new pj's and I couldn't wait to get into mine! My dress was becoming too tight with the growing bambino. G and MC also received little gifts from grandma.
Here's MC at my grandma's house... this is after she woke up from her nap.
I was obviously tired, and ended up falling asleep while everyone else visited!
After visiting with grandma we went back to my parents to open more presents!

Christmas Vacation iPhoto Dump

I haven't finished uploading and editing our bowl trip pictures, and I haven't had the chance to blog since Sunday evening, so this is the next best thing- an iPhone photo dump of random picutres from our trip.

This is the day we left. I should've known by the amount of stuff in DJ's truck that there was no way we were making it back to Tulsa in one trip. This picture also makes me question having a third child- I guess we can just strap that one to the roof.
I love when MC falls asleep in the car. She's just so sweet, and for this trip, we turned her forward facing. She had been forward facing in DJ's truck for about two months, but not in my car, and not in this carseat. I really wanted to wait until she was two to turn her, but it just made for an easier trip for all of us. Now that we are home, she is still forward facing in my car. (Before we left she would pitch a fit about not wanting to get in her carseat.)
This picture was taken on the Friday of our bowl trip. We had an outing to Incredible Pizza and to Graceland. I overheard one of the hotel staff members say that my girls looked like hippies from Woodstock and it made me chuckle.
G loved riding the bus with her bestie football friend. They were such big girl and talked the entire way back to the hotel.
Friday evening the team and staff went to a rodeo. DJ and I decided that after being out all day, we needed to grab a bite to eat and get the girls in bed. We went to original Corky's BBQ in Memphis and ordered entirely too much food. But, it was good!
On Saturday, we went to the Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma outlets. Yes, outlets. I was in PB heaven!
Later that afternoon, the girls stayed in the hotel with their nana, and I went shopping with the wifes. I was 12 weeks pregnant and snapped a photo. Pardon the mess of clothes behind me (it's hard living in a hotel room for a week!) But, i'm starting to get a bump here, so I thought I should capture it.
After our trip we went back to my mom's for a few days. I got a glimpse into our future of having three kids. I had to watch my niece, A, while her mama worked and while mine took my grandma to doctor appointments. I'd say, it went rather well, although both of the little ones stayed in their pj's all day.
My mom was in high-heaven to have all three of her grandgirls with her!
And, I must give a shout out to my SIL, for bringing me this candy on Friday night! My mom had a cinnamon candle burning, and it smelled like hot tamales would taste and I got an instant craving. I ate half the box that night.
And, this is totally random, but I just ran (figuratively speaking) to the candy machine in the teacher's lounge, and it took my money and only halfway rolled out the peanut butter m&m's, so that just tells me that I should go home and call it a day.

Happy Hump Day!

Christmas Afternoon

DJ, the girls, and I are finally back home from all of our Christmas travels, and with a Liberty Bowl WIN!!!! Hopefully this week, I'll have time to sit down and catch up on uploading & editing pictures, and blogging! I'm sure i'm way behind with Christmas posts compared to most bloggers!

We spent Christmas morning with DJ's parents, and that afternoon, we headed to Jonesboro to visit his sister and her family, and DJ's mom.

When we arrived, Charlie (our brother-in-law) was grilling turkey legs- yum!
and, the girls got busy in the kitchen.

Lunch was so good! We had lots of yummy appetizers, including Nana's (DJ's mom) 7-layer taco dip, which was perfect to satisfy my pregnancy craving, along with fruit, veggies, and cheese balls. For lunch we had turkey, ham, dressing, homemade mac & cheese, deviled eggs, rolls, green bean casserole, and sweet potatoes with marshmallow's on top!

The girls had fun playing before and after lunch.

MC loved riding on Zander's four-wheeler that he received for Christmas!
 Here's nana and MC.
Zander- he's about three months younger than MC.
After lunch, we exchanged presents. We gave my mother-in-law a necklace, bracelet, and earrings set.
We gave my brother-in-law a bowl watch from the Armed Forces bowl.
G received a dream light from her Nana. She has been begging for the unicorn dream light since this summer and was so excited to finally receive her gift!
Z and MC were so sweet giving each other hugs!
A quick family picture with DJ's mom.... the weather started sleeting, and we had to hurry up the rest of our visit so we could drive to Memphis.
And Nana with three of her six grandchildren!
We ended up getting out of Jonesboro before the weather got too bad. It sleeted on us for about 45 minutes on our way to Memphis and then turned in to rain. We made it to our hotel, that would be our home for the next week, while TU prepared for the Liberty Bowl- more to come on that later this week!

Christmas Morning

The girls were up pretty early on Christmas morning, as they were excited to see if Santa had surprised them and came to see them twice! (Since, he came to our house on the 22nd.) Actually, before bed, G prayed, "Dear Lord, Please let Santa come to see me again."

God answers prayers, or at least Pops and Grandma Dee do, because they made sure the girls had a few "Santa" presents under the Christmas tree! I learned later that Grandma Dee had never had a Christmas where, as an adult, she was able to enjoy the excitement kids had for Christmas! So, she made sure that the girls would have a magical morning!

The girls wore matching Christmas pj's that my mom bought them. (She buys the same plaid jammies for the girls every year!)
After having so many celebrations, MC was a pro at knowing that there were goodies inside the wrapped paper and she was ready to get started!
We decided to do stockings first.
We received candy, bandanas, small babies, pea dispensers, and more!
We even had a chocolate bar with millions of dollars!

 MC enjoyed the "balls".
After stockings, we ate a quick breakfast of fruit and cinnamon rolls. I was really impressed with how patient the girls were!
MC was even content playing with toys before we opened presents.
And, we took a few more pictures before digging in!

The girls were really excited to help their grandparents open the presents.

About 1/4 of the way through, we gave MC one of her presents, she took it over to this box and sat down and for 5 minutes she worked and worked until she had opened the present al by herself! She was so proud!
 G helped pass out presents.
The girls received princesses, Barbies, dolls, and more!

MC loved playing the flute that G received.
Pops received this Bears jacket from his brother.
Thank you Pops and Grandma Dee for making Christmas morning so special for the girls!
