September 2013 Bow of the Month Club

I am so excited to be bringing back the Bow of the Month Club! I haven't offered this exclusive offer since 2011! If you're a fan of my facebook page, then you've already had a chance to sign up for the club, but now, my blog readers have the opportunity!

This time around I am offering two options!

The first option is for my "Advanced" members. These members will receive medium to large hair bows every month they are a member! They may also receive hair flair rather than a bow, but I've had many people tell me they would rather have bows, and if you're one of them, then that is perfectly fine!!! I always strive to provide customization for my customers, and if you would rather have all hair bows, then that's what you'll receive! Or, if you'd rather have all hair flair pieces, then that's what you'll receive!!!

The package is designed for you to receive a mixture, but please don't hesitate to ask for custom options!

If you are not a fan of larger boutique bows, then the basic membership is for you! Every month you are a member, you will receive a basic boutique style bow in the mail!

Members also receive discounts on every other purchase they make as long as they are a member! So, if you sign up for a 3 month membership then you'll receive either a 10 or 15% discount on every order placed during those three months! If you're a 12 month member, you get a discount for an entire year on ALL of your purchases!

Now, tell me that's not a great deal!

But, that's not all! If you are an advanced member, your daughter will receive two hair bows the month of her birthday!!! She'll receive her regularly designed bow, and a birthday theme hair bow!

When choosing the ribbon for September, I wanted to choose something that reminded me of fall, but could also be utilized year round. I decided on this red and white dot ribbon because it made me think of apples. My basic members will be receiving the hair bow above.

I decided to stick with the red polk-a-dot ribbon, but I added in a super fun print that has lime, pink, and turquoise. Turquoise and red is one of my favorite color combinations, so I was excited to pair the colors together! My advanced members receive larger bows, and this bow has a little extra with the turquoise flower puff in the center.

If you are interested in receiving a monthly bow in the mail, (what a great birthday gift, shower present, or surprise for your honey pie!) then just send me a message on my facebook page. If you can't make it to the page, feel free to leave a comment with your email address! All of my comments must be approved before publishing, so it's perfectly secure for you! (I will not publish comments with your email address.) I'll send you an invoice, and you'll start receiving your monthly bow within a few weeks!

Pumpkin Headbands

When I first layed eyes on these chiffon pumpkin headbands, I knew that I had to get my hands on them. The day that I got them in the mail, I set to work and completed five headbands, which is no small feat with a 6 week old baby!

I decided to make headbands with the pumpkins. I love me some good hair flair, and all of my girls can wear these with no problems.

These are all ready to ship in my facebook shop and are all priced under $10.00, which is a STEAL!

This Little Pumpkin is $9.00 and is placed on white elastic. The fabric has zig zag edges, which will fray with some wearing, and is ruffled. The pumpkin is adorned with a tiny green bow.

I know many of my fans are not a fan of the over the top look, so I also made one simple headband as well.

Frankenstein Glam (below) isn't a pumpkin, but I just adore the halloween colors.

Mr. Jack (below) is $8.50 and is placed a skinny black headband. He's adorned with black ric rac and a dotted mini bow.

I love the mix in this chevron zebra pumpkin headband. The ruffled fabric features orange and white chevron, and the zebra bow is adorned with a purple sparkle center.

For the bigger girls, I placed this chiffon pumpkin on a lime green headband. It has a simple and timeless look, perfect for a trip to the pumpkin patch.

After I made these, I had an idea to use them on a onesie for Adalyn, and I have five more heading my way! I'll be using three of them, but i'll have two available for custom order, so please send me a message if you would like a headband, but not a fan of one of these that are ready to ship. I'd love to work out a custom order for you!

Manic Monday

I don't know what happened to the girls on Monday, but I must say that it was the best day we've had since Adalyn joined our family! Gretchen watched t.v. and played with boxes and crayons in the living room, Addy slept in the swing all morning (which never happens), I was able to get a few things cleaned, and then Megan joined me upstairs while I sewed and completed projects. Dare I say we're getting the hang of things?

Better not, I'll jinx us.

Because the girls were so cooperative, I got a lot of my sewing to-do list finished.

I'm really hoping to add more twirl skirts to my inventory, and maybe it's because i'm in love with the fabric collection at Hobby Lobby, but it's also because the skirts are so cute and easy to slip on, and Gretchen loves them.

They're twirl approved.

I'm also adding this one shoulder ruffled shirt. The best part is the price- it's only $15.00, and they're so stylish!

My mom and I made this acorn applique shirt, and I was so excited to finally finish the matching skirt for Meggie. It's so cute for fall!

I also made this bib shirt and coordinating paisley skirt for Gretchen. This set is also $35.00 and comes with a matching headband or hair bow.

Infant Accessories

With baby 3 set to arrive in the next 90 or so days, babies are on my brain! I also have so many friends having babies! It's such an exciting time to be pregnant with friends from college or high school and to see their families grow!

I recently received an email from a sweet college friend asking me to make her daughter hair bows for the hospital that would match her (the moms) hosptial gowns. She really wanted over the top bows, and sent me a photo of an idea she had, and I jumped at the chance to recreate such beautiful bows for her baby girl! These over the top bows are unlike any I have ever made, and now i'm in love with them!

The bow features a large base bow wtih several layers of looping ribbon and ostrich feathers!

I also ordered petti rompers for her and I went ahead and ordered one for Addy too. These are always available at HPA; they're just not always in stock. I really hate to carry items that may or may not sell, but I can always find them for you if you're in need!

My friend ordered this sweet pink petti romper, and I decided on the purple for Addy.

These are such sweet baby gifts and perfect for newborn or 3 month photos! I love the rompers because they stretch so much! I paired the purple with a matching nagorie feather hair flair piece and I cannot wait to get Addy's pictures in it!

My mom and I also made this infant gown for Addy, and I can't wait to make more when I have some free time! I can't remember if I have shared it or not, so i'm sharing it again, because i'm just in love with it!

I added a ruffle to the front along with a bow, and made a headband to match.

Maine, Bows, & Flair

A few weeks ago, I requested for product testers for "state" applique shirts. I have been wanting to try these out, and my goal is to attempt all 50 states, but I know this may take me several months or even a few years!

Arkansas and Maine were requested, and i'll have to share the Arkansas shirt later, but I love how this Maine shirt turned out! The customer wanted a blue shirt, and I was so lucky to find one for a little girl! And, she chose the grey and white chevron fabric for the applique.

I'm still in love with the nagorie feathers and hair flair! This pink and fuchsia nagorie feather has a moraccan inspired bow with a tiny sparkling fuschia bow on top.

MC is having a lemonade birthday party this year, and I ordered one of these feathers for her! However, this one is up for sale with a bright pink shabby flower and sequin bow!

My niece is going to be the proud owner of Mr. Cottontail! I can't wait to give it to her!

The "Meggie" Dress

While my mom was here this past weekend, we had some time to sew and complete projects that I've been putting off for a few weeks. I have been dying to add a few dresses and new lines to my shop and with my mom's help I was able to complete those projects on my to-do list!

I found this navy and white stripe shirt on one my shopping excursions, and knew that it needed to be made into a dress. I also had this vintage mustard yellow fabric that I made these skirts out of, and knew it would be the perfect color combination.

Megan did not want to cooperate with modeling for me! Our house was a mess, so I had to find a decent background, and then she would arch her back over the chair and just looked silly! She finally just gave up and sat down and said "cheese" real big and loud!

I am totally in love with the little ruffle down the front!

I used some of the fabric from the shirt to make this little flower for the headband, and then I made a ruffle out of the yellow fabric. I typically offset the headband pieces, but I loved the look of the navy flower right on top of the yellow ruffle.
