Valentine Hair Accessories

Y'all, we've almost survived the week! It's Thursday, which means that we just have one more day, and then I get a three day weekend! #cannotwait

Although, this weekend is going to be jam packed with my Bows, Bags, & Wine Party on Friday night, shopping with my three honey pie's on Saturday, church on Sunday, followed by a surprise sleepover Sunday night, and a dentist appointment on Monday!

I think i'll be napping any chance I get, or drinking lots of coke, I mean, a whole large coke from Sonic, maybe two.

Anywho……

I wanted to share with y'all a few of my new Valentine hair accessories! Valentine's day is right around the corner and I'm beginning to love the holiday more and more each year.

So, in honor of the upcoming holiday, here's some eye candy for you!

I love all of these new hair flair pieces! I love the colors, and the little details in each piece. If you're getting Valentine portraits made or you're expecting a baby you'll want these pieces to start your collection! If you have an older honey pie, you'll need to add these! My girls love wearing these hair flair pieces when we don't have time to put their hair back with a bow, and they make a ponytail look instantly glam.

You can check them out on my Facebook page

If you're interested in placing an order, please just send me a message!

And if any of you already follow me on Facebook, you'll know that my embroidery machine and I have been fighting. This has been the worst time for my machine to give me fits, but after several days of working on the machine and wanting to throw it out the window, it finally did this:
At least one of my girls will have their Valentine shirt! I'm hoping to get the other two something made as well, because I already ordered them matching pants!

I'm not taking Valentine shirt orders right now. Sadly, I just don't trust my machine. I really hope i'll be able to take orders again in about two weeks, just in time for St. Patrick's day, Easter, and birthdays!

If you haven't stopped by my blog in a few days, go here and enter my giveaway

Okay, y'all, back to your day! I know, I know, I don't want to go either.

5 on Friday

It's Friday!!! Can I get a Woot Woot, and an Amen! Y'all I am so ready for the weekend!

Since it's Friday, it's time for another 5 on Friday post! I wanted to re-cap the week anyway, and I had the perfect 5 things to share to let y'all know just how cray-cray it's been!

1) I started working full time this week. I am in love with the fact that I don't have to be at work until 8:30 in the morning, allowing me an extra hour at home. I have been on time 3 out of 5 days, and one of those I didn't work (see below), so 3 out of 4 days, which is big for me! Huge! I'm also able to get the bed made or some laundry started or something done in the morning without being stressed! Anyway, so on Monday I organized my new speech room. I moved cabinets, games, organized deck of cards- I had a mess!
This was just part of the mess, and this photo was taken after I had worked all morning, so the mess was much, much bigger than this!

2) On Tuesday, I stayed home with Meggie and Adalyn. Meggie had a little tummy bug and we thought it was best that she stay home from daycare. So, I updated my timeline photo on my Facebook page while I was home.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!!

I was planning on beginning to decorate the house this weekend, but that will have to wait until next weekend and when i'm more caught up on orders. This weekend it's sew, sew, sew….. and taking G to a birthday party.

3) Cuddling with two of my girls on Tuesday.

4) Working on a few new ready to ship hair accessories.

(I am in love with this pink and purple flair!)

5) She felt better by Tuesday afternoon and decided to dress herself.

Leggings, shorts, sparkle shoes, Minnie dress, and stickers. At one point she had on leg warmers, and a bathing suit too.

Wednesday afternoon I went to Target after work, which meant I didn't get home until 5:30 and never have I been more thankful for uncrustables and corn dogs. (AKA: our lunch and dinner). I also bought a few Christmas gifts for the girls, and i'll be highlighting my choices over the next few weeks!

Hope y'all have a great weekend! Live it up!

It was a Craft Weekend!

DJ was out of town this past weekend for TU's game against UTEP. We won in case you were wondering! (Seriously y'all, it's pathetic how much football has become my life.) Anyway, I was so excited that he'd be out of town! I love my husband, and I have a love/hate relationship with his career, but every once in a while I get so excited that he's going to be away!

Want to know why?
.........................................................
..................................................
................................
............
...

Because, I get to do this all weekend long!
Well, this and take care of our girlies!
So, my craft weekend actually started on Thursday. I took the girls to school, well, maybe DJ did? But I set to work on projects on Thursday, with a brief interruption of a few hours of my real job on Friday afternoon.

My neighbors are wonderful and have been so helpful this year! Mrs. Carmen will come over just to hold a baby, and her kids come over to play with the big kids, and I get to accomplish some task around the house. She also brings me decadent desserts and wine. On top of that, they watch Gretchen two mornings a week when I have to go in early. Seriously, they're wonderful.

She asked me to make her daughter two hair pretties, so P (her daughter) came over and she picked out the satin cluster piece above. It's so adorable for Christmas, but seriously y'all, it can be worn year round!
P is in a wedding in November, and we decided upon a purple nagorie feather for her hair piece. I accented it with ivory loops, and a tiny deep purple bow, and a piece of purple bling.
Fallon requested this satin cluster piece for her daughter when she saw it for sale during a comment game on my Facebook Page.

The original piece had jingle bells and a tiny red sequin bow. I re-ordered the cluster flowers, and when I began working on the piece, I realized I was almost out of jingle bells and completely out of sequins bow. So, I did what any one would do. I improvised.

It's a good thing I did because I love this! I love it more than the first piece! I added the jingle bells that I had remaining, along with pearls (my favorite stone) (Random Fact that all three of my girls have the name "Pearl" somehow incorporated into their name.) then I also added a red bow with a polymer clay reindeer.
I also had to finish up October Bow of the Month Club orders, and I created the above hair bow for Kendra, the newest member of the club!
And for weeks, I've been swamped with y'all's orders (that's a word right? "y'all's") that I hadn't had time to complete these caramel apple hair bows for my own little girls, so I finally finished them!

Y'all tired yet?
Since Thursday was bow day, Saturday and Sunday were applique day.

I first made this little Grinch tie. And, another random fact- I've been told by several people, all of whom don't really know each other, that I may or may not look like the Grinch when I smile.

I shouldn't have shared that with y'all because you're going to notice in all of my pictures now!
And, I appliqued four trick or treat bags!

The above bag is the only bag that is still available, so if you must have it- It's $25.00 shipped! It would be so cute as a teacher gift too, just stuff in some candy and a starbucks gift card, and your child's teacher will have the best Halloween ever!

Love what you see?

I love comments, and all of y'all!

Shop Update: Last Weeks Projects!

Last week I was able to complete lots of orders and start a few new projects! I just feel so blessed at where I am in my business and i'm so thankful every time places an order and allows me to create something for their little honey pie.

I am still saving to purchase my own embroidery machine, and I'm so, so close. But for now, I'm borrowing my mom's and I'm grateful that she's loaning it to me!
I shared on my facebook page last week, that I the Magic Christmas Pillowcase pre-order is OPEN!

My mom and I made these last year, well, mostly my mom, but I'll be taking over this year and making the pillowcases!

Christmas is my most favorite holiday, and I love new traditions!

If you don't have a pillowcase for your child(ren) you need one ASAP!

The pillowcases are made with your fabric and border color of choice and all will be embroidered with your child's name. Each pillowcase comes shipped with a poem explaining it's magic to help your child sleep well on Christmas eve.

To information from last year go here
For this year's fabric options go here.

Tuesday afternoon, I stitched out this spider applique all by myself!
Because there are a few tiny flaws, i'm selling her for only $10.00! She's on a 5T short sleeve shirt, so if you're interested let me know!

I worked on another corduroy apron skirt.

And embroidered a bib.

I also completed these witch shoes!
The shoes are on a 12-18 month short sleeve shirt. You can purchase this one for $17.00, and I also have a few headbands or hair bows to match!

I spent much of the weekend working on more designs and i'll share those with y'all later this week!

If you're interested in an applique shirt, the designs are $17.00 if you are the first to purchase. After that, designs will go up to $25.00. Short and long sleeves are available right now! Check out all of the designs here!

Shop Update~ Witch Hats

I absolutely love when i'm automatically inspired. Walking through a local craft store, I had an idea to make witch hats for the girls! I honestly wanted to buy every thing I would need to make a dozen of these little hats for y'all, but I decided to only make them for the girls and then offer them custom made for my Facebook page fans!

I couldn't wait to get home and start working on these little hats! I dove head first and didn't want to stop until they were complete!

As soon as they were done, Adalyn woke up from her nap, and I knew it was a perfect time for a photo shoot because Megan was still sleeping and Gretchen was at a friends house playing.

I paired her witch hat with a lace purple petti romper, that she'll also wear on Halloween. Once I began working on these, I decided that Addy and Meggie would both be little witches. Right now, Gretchen is torn between Sofia the First and on being a witch.
The large witch hat is 6 inches in diameter. It's adorned with either a lime green or purple sequin band. The front of the hat is decorated with white marabou, and a purple and orange flower. There's also a splash of ribbon, a tiny bow, and a sparkly jewel.

The hat attaches with a black elastic headband, and is fully enclosed underneath.
6 inch hats will be $20.00 plus S&H. These will ship in a box so they will not be damaged in the shipping process. You are more than welcome to change the color of anything you see!
I also have mini witch hats available. These will be $15.00 plus S&H. Again, they will be shipped in a box. These are 3 inches in diameter. Mini hats are also placed on black elastic headbands, and are adorned with one flower, one ribbon piece, and one tiny bow, as well as the sequin trim.
If you can't tell, i'm so excited about these little witch hats!

To complete your honey pie's Halloween look pair these with an appliqué witch hat shirt, a petti romper, or a custom made witch tutu! Just message for more information and to place your order!

Pumpkin Headbands

When I first layed eyes on these chiffon pumpkin headbands, I knew that I had to get my hands on them. The day that I got them in the mail, I set to work and completed five headbands, which is no small feat with a 6 week old baby!
I decided to make headbands with the pumpkins. I love me some good hair flair, and all of my girls can wear these with no problems.

These are all ready to ship in my facebook shop and are all priced under $10.00, which is a STEAL!

This Little Pumpkin is $9.00 and is placed on white elastic. The fabric has zig zag edges, which will fray with some wearing, and is ruffled. The pumpkin is adorned with a tiny green bow.
I know many of my fans are not a fan of the over the top look, so I also made one simple headband as well.
Frankenstein Glam (below) isn't a pumpkin, but I just adore the halloween colors.
Mr. Jack (below) is $8.50 and is placed a skinny black headband. He's adorned with black ric rac and a dotted mini bow.

I love the mix in this chevron zebra pumpkin headband. The ruffled fabric features orange and white chevron, and the zebra bow is adorned with a purple sparkle center.

For the bigger girls, I placed this chiffon pumpkin on a lime green headband. It has a simple and timeless look, perfect for a trip to the pumpkin patch.

After I made these, I had an idea to use them on a onesie for Adalyn, and I have five more heading my way! I'll be using three of them, but i'll have two available for custom order, so please send me a message if you would like a headband, but not a fan of one of these that are ready to ship. I'd love to work out a custom order for you!

Shop Update: Bows, Flair, & Collegiate Bows

Over the last week, I have had more time to work on hair bows- I guess that's what having summers off and being home does for ya! I love that I can work while the girls nap or I can bring them to the playroom with me and they play together while I sew and create.
These first two pictures are of infant headbands with rosette bows, both featuring a bling center. I'm partial to the pink one above, and can totally see it on Adalyn if it doesn't sell by the time she arrives. But, at only $6.50, my hopes aren't high!

I also made this 4th of July headband to match the Patriotic Princess dress.
I love this fuschia hair flair headband! It's listed on my facebook page, but I may send it off to a photographer, because it's screaming photo prop to me!
I also have this gorgeous Pretty in Prep pink and green stacked bow listed at just $9.00
And, this super sweet "Little Sister" boutique bow at only $6.00
I started collegiate pre-orders and was able to make another Peace, Love, Hogs hair bow. My ribbon is getting really low for these, so if your honey pie needs one for football season ORDER NOW! The one above is $9.00.
I ordered this spirited LSU ribbon to match a dress my mom and I are working on!
I have this grab bag of bows (seen above) for only $15.00 shipped! If you follow me on instagram (@ewelte) then you would've seen these already and had the first chance to snag them! I haven't yet listed them on facebook, so as a blog reader, you're going to get a second chance to get the grab bag for $15.00 shipped! That's 3.00 a bow + S&H. These bows retail at 6.00 a piece! If you wish to purchase, just leave me a comment with your email address- don't worry it won't be published, and I can send you an invoice.
I also made this red and black football bow for a sorority sister of mine! Her little honey pie will be cheering on the Red Wolves this season!
My daughter is a huge fan of LaLaLoopsy, so I put together this headband- don't worry, it's for sale, and we're not keeping it- she already has a super over the top LaLaLoopsy hair bow- so you can head over to my facebook page to grab this one for yourself!
This Big Sister bow has a bling bottlecap and feathers! It would be perfect for your oldest that's becoming a big sister or already is! I love the pinks and the sparkle!

As always, feel free to pin any of these images and give credit to Honey Pie Accessories! And, did you know that Facebook now allows for hashtags! So make sure you #honeypieaccessories on Facebook!
