Birthdays, Bibs, & Turkeys Galore!

Last week, I was able to complete and ship several of your order! I just cannot say it enough how blessed I am with my part time position right now. My husband may not agree, but I am definitely happier right now and my stress level is way down.

I had a friend from high school contact me about making birthday shirts for two little sisters that are foster children living in their home. They both have October birthdays, so she's throwing them a joint birthday party, and I was so excited that she asked me to create something for the girls to wear!

I love this little applique design, and I have numbers 1-9 available.

Every year I make my girls a birthday shirt to wear to school; something that is separate from their party outfit; a shirt that they choose and they love. One year, Gretchen had a crown, the next year a number five, and Meggie had a lemonade shirt this past year. I think this year, I'll use these numbers for their special school shirts.

If you'd like to order one, please let me know!
Because I was so touched with Leah's story, I gifted her little girls hair bows to wear on their special day.

I participated in a facebook page giveaway at Maverick Designs earlier in September. The winner contacted me and asked if she could switch up her prize. I was giving away a ruffled shirt, and Ms. Wendy, was just so sweet and had just had her first grandson. She obviously could not use a ruffled shirt!

I happily obliged to let her change her prize, partly because I hadn't had a chance to make what she wanted in a while, and because it gave me the chance to embroider!
She received this adorable bib lined with minky dot, and a matching pacifier clip.

I hope her first grandson loves them!

I know that we went through several pacifier clips with Meggie, and if Adalyn is anything like her sisters; she'll need a few as well!

I have a dear friend whose little girls have birthdays in October (I think there's a birthday theme going on in this post!) and rather than buying them toys, I decided to make the girls matching shirts. I talked to  Sarah, the momma, and she requested Thanksgiving shirts for the girls.

She also has a little boy, and I just could not leave him out! So, I made him this turkey tie shirt.
For Ella, the oldest, I made her this little girl turkey shirt. I wanted to use a color combination that was a little unexpected, and I love the coral and turquoise combination and how this shirt turned out!
Baby G, will also have a shirt that matches Ms. Coral Turkey, but her's will be reversed.

Of course, they're getting m2m hair bows as well:
My mom made G and MC dresses for this fall, and I made them matching hair bows. I cannot wait to show y'all the dress, and i'll let you in on a little secret.... the dresses will be added to inventory Spring 2014!
I decided to use our embroidery software and make my own design and it didn't turn out quite as I had expected. I'm in love with the fabric, the colors, and the "M", but for some reason, I offset the "M" and the wording is centered, but it just looks off. I'm not sure why I did that in the program, but I'm glad that I know how to fix it for future orders, and I do love the idea of the design.
This week i'll be completing a girly ghost appliqué, a few more magic Christmas pillowcases, and i'm hoping that i'll have trick-or-treat bags being delivered!

As always, please 'like' my facebook page, and feel free to pin any of my images giving credit to HPA!

Y'all have a great day and thank you so much for reading!

Turkey, Squirrel, and Owls

I am in love with my mom's embroidery machine that i'm borrowing while I continue to save for the machine that I want! I really think that by the end of October, if not sooner, that i'll have one of my own!

Meanwhile, I'm busy working on designs, and completing your orders!

All of my machine applique designs are on sale for $17.00 (+S&H) right now if you are the first to choose that design! After someone has had the design made; the price will go up to either $20 or $25.00!

To check out the designs go here.

I was so excited when a customer purchased this turkey tie!
He's cute enough to make me want a baby boy to put this on!

He can also come in solid brown fabric, but I loved the polk-a-dots and contrasting lime green fabric!

I also started working on dress designs!

I have a ton of blank dress design options here.

I purchased two identical dresses for Gretchen and Megan, thinking that I would make them matching, but once I made Megan's I decided to make something different for Gretchen.

Below is Megan's dress:
You can order a dress with a name and an applique for just $35.00!

The manufacturer says that this dress is pink and red, I disagree. It's more of a contrasting coral stripe to me, and I really wanted to use turquoise fabric with it!

The girls already have a candy apple, pumpkin, and turkey outfit, and I wanted something else that was fall, so I went with my beloved squirrel!
I love how Megan's dress turned out!

Once completing Megan's dress I started brainstorming ideas for Gretchen's dress. I knew that her dress would have her name at the top, and again, I wanted a "fall" design at the bottom. Gretchen wanted a butterfly, but I vetoed her choice!

I decided to create a fun and whimsical owl!
The owl is made with a turquoise body, pink & mustard yellow wings, and yellow eyes.
I am in love with this little owl!

Please let me know if you would like to place an order! You can comment here or message me on my facebook page! I love custom orders!

I just can't say it enough, but I've been very blessed business wise over the last year, and I'm just so thankful for y'all!

Manic Monday

I don't know what happened to the girls on Monday, but I must say that it was the best day we've had since Adalyn joined our family! Gretchen watched t.v. and played with boxes and crayons in the living room, Addy slept in the swing all morning (which never happens), I was able to get a few things cleaned, and then Megan joined me upstairs while I sewed and completed projects. Dare I say we're getting the hang of things?

Better not, I'll jinx us.

Because the girls were so cooperative, I got a lot of my sewing to-do list finished.

I'm really hoping to add more twirl skirts to my inventory, and maybe it's because i'm in love with the fabric collection at Hobby Lobby, but it's also because the skirts are so cute and easy to slip on, and Gretchen loves them.

They're twirl approved.

I'm also adding this one shoulder ruffled shirt. The best part is the price- it's only $15.00, and they're so stylish!
My mom and I made this acorn applique shirt, and I was so excited to finally finish the matching skirt for Meggie. It's so cute for fall!

You can get the entire collection (in your choice of fabric) for $35.00! That includes the skirt, shirt, and matching hair bow!

I also made this bib shirt and coordinating paisley skirt for Gretchen. This set is also $35.00 and comes with a matching headband or hair bow.
And, one more action shot of her twirling! See, these are so much fun! If you would just like a skirt, they're $15.00! What a steal!
I can't decide which piece is my favorite..... what's yours?

Thanks so much for letting me share these new clothing pieces with you! I hope you'll stop by my facebook page and let me know if you'd like a custom order!

Infant Accessories

With baby 3 set to arrive in the next 90 or so days, babies are on my brain! I also have so many friends having babies! It's such an exciting time to be pregnant with friends from college or high school and to see their families grow!

I recently received an email from a sweet college friend asking me to make her daughter  hair bows for the hospital that would match her (the moms) hosptial gowns. She really wanted over the top bows, and sent me a photo of an idea she had, and I jumped at the chance to recreate such beautiful bows for her baby girl! These over the top bows are unlike any I have ever made, and now i'm in love with them!
The bow features a large base bow wtih several layers of looping ribbon and ostrich feathers!

I also ordered petti rompers for her and I went ahead and ordered one for Addy too. These are always available at HPA; they're just not always in stock. I really hate to carry items that may or may not sell, but I can always find them for you if you're in need!
My friend ordered this sweet pink petti romper, and I decided on the purple for Addy.
These are such sweet baby gifts and perfect for newborn or 3 month photos! I love the rompers because they stretch so much! I paired the purple with a matching nagorie feather hair flair piece and I cannot wait to get Addy's pictures in it!

My mom and I also made this infant gown for Addy, and I can't wait to make more when I have some free time! I can't remember if I have shared it or not, so i'm sharing it again, because i'm just in love with it!
I added a ruffle to the front along with a bow, and made a headband to match.
I love to create baby gifts, as babies are such a blessing and joyous event that deserve to be celebrated! Be sure to check out my facebook page for more products and i'll work with you to create custom matching pieces that will quickly become heirlooms!

And, if you're a mom to be, contact me about setting up a baby registry for you on my page! I'm just beginning to host baby registries, and because of that i'm offering 10% off all orders placed from the baby registry, as well as a 15% discount to you mom's to be that create a baby registry on my page!

St. Patricks Day Ribbon & Fabric

I am so excited to share with you the items I have found in order to customize a St. Patricks' day piece for you and your little honey pie(s). I have always loved custom orders, and I have found that this may be easier, than making tons of sample bows, shirts, etc. and them not selling. It's also a great way for me to keep my production costs down, and in turn keeping your purchasing cost down!

As always, Honey Pie Accessories strives to be your go-to online boutique with affordable and adorable custom creations!

This first ribbon is my all time favorite. I am in love with the leprachaun children and the chevron background! I can totally see this in a simple pigtail boutique style bows or added with orange for an over-the-top hair piece!.
Chevron is all  the rage right now, and this green chevron ribbon is perfect for St. Patty's day! I can make a simple boutique style bow and it will be perfect paired with a chevron shamrock applique shirt, and this bow can be continued to be worn long after March 17th.
I already have an order for a stacked boutique bow using these ribbons, so i'll have all of them in stock! I love the various shades of green and would die to make an over-the-top hair bow using tiny side bows or glittery bows as accents.
The classic Shamrock ribbon is a great addition to any bow or to any outfit on St. Patty's day. It's simple and makes the perfect statement.
And, what little baby wouldn't be adorable wearing this ribbon on her head- love it!
I only made little girl Valentine shirts, and I knew I wanted to give you a "boy" option for shamrock applique's. This chevron fabric in various shades of blue and green is perfect for your little boy on St. Patty's day! I can stitch the shamrock in blue, green, or white.
Rainbows are a classic sign of St. Patrick's day, and this chevron fabric would be adorable combined into a shamrock applique, stitched in green and on a brightly colored shirt!
I can't wait to custom create pieces for you! As always, please leave me a comment, or a message on my facebook page to create your custom listing.

I'm also offering a 5% discount to the first person who makes a shamrock applique shirt order!

These fabrics can also be utilized for "tie" applique's for boys, baby bibs or burp cloths for your baby's first St. Patrick's Day, or as a baby gift!
