Friday Ramblings!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!

I usually link up with 5 on Friday every Friday, but today, I have so much more than just 5 things to share and I just could not narrow it down!
This baby girl is a mover and a crawler now! She started army crawling on Sunday, and she's trying to get up on her knees now! She army crawled over to get the remote control and was so proud of herself!

I also think that we may be getting on a better schedule with her this week. I'm not 100% sure yet, so I don't want to jinx us, but i've been getting home, getting things put away, nursing her, then feeding her solids, and then putting her down for a late evening nap. I'm trying to let her only sleep one hour when we get home, and then I can get her back up around 6:30 or 7, keep her awake for another hour or hour and a half, and then get her back in the bed. I was really hoping to give up the late evening nap all together, but Addy Pearl is not sleeping well at daycare (still) and I may just have to let those hopes go. I have used a babywise routine with all the girls, and she should be getting three 1 1/2 hour naps per day, but she's taking about two naps at daycare and those are anywhere from 45 minutes, 1 hour, or 30 minutes. Home girl just likes to know what's going on!

Addy is also arching her back and throwing her head back when she gets upset. This little girl is going to have an attitude just like her big sisters!
Sigh, Megan is still falling asleep on the living room floor. Actually, she did not last night, but she did Wednesday night. I digress. Let her sleep where she falls. We'll still put her to bed and tuck her in around 7:30 or 8:00, but she'll fall asleep wherever whenever. Whatever.
Gretchen had her Valentine's party at school yesterday! I'm not sure who thought February the 13th would be a good idea for a Valentine's party, but oh well. So, my plan for all three girls wearing matching pants and applique shirts & matching bows just went right out the window. I let Gretchen wear her Valentine's outfit on Thursday, and look how cute she looks! Yes, I may be a little partial. I'm her mom, I made her shirt, I made her bow, I bought her pants.... I just think she's precious.  #sorrynotsorry

She was suppose to take pepperoni to her class party. I remembered at 4:00 yesterday afternoon while I was driving home. Mom Fail.

Thankfully, Gretchen didn't notice.

I also really became thankful for all the moms that stay at home or that were able to take off work to be at the party yesterday. I was able to see a few pictures and I just had a come to Jesus meeting, about how awesome it is that those moms could be there, when other moms couldn't. They were able to take care of the party. They remembered their snacks. They helped plan, helped with the games. They were there for my daughter when I could not be, and I am so thankful to them!
Happy Valentine's Day to my hubby! He was less than thrilled when I took this picture this morning! And, I just have to give him props for letting me sleep in a few more minutes AND he made the bed this morning! This guy is speaking my love language. He's a hottie.
And, my little girls this morning!

This is a grainy pic- DJ snapped it and emailed to me, but it's horrible quality. Thankfully, I have some on the "real" camera as well, so i'll post those next week.

All of the girls were suppose to have pink minky dot ruffle pants to wear today. I bought Gretchen a size 6, and thankfully, she'll be able to wear them next year. They were a little long, so I just rolled up the waistband twice yesterday.

DJ put Megan's on her this morning and holy cow, were they big! I bought her a 2T, and even with her pants rolled up, they were too long. I bought Addy Pearl a size 9 months and they were even longer! Like, they were so long, they were as long as she is! So, after a bit of fit throwing (on mine and Megan's part), Megan ended up in the size 9 month pants that I had bought for Addy, and they fit Megan perfectly!

Thankfully, I had a pair of pink pants that I could put on Addy.
And here are all my little Valentine's! Poor Gretchen had just come downstairs after putting on her dress, and I hadn't fixed her hair and she was barely awake anyway!

And, thank you to Andrea for creating this "Hey girl" picture.... I shared it with my hubby, and told him i'd be happy with just ONE PAIR, and he told me that I should've married Ryan then! Ha!

One more thing, our family photographer, Madison, and her precious family, have just added a new bundle of joy to their family! I found out last July that they were planning on adopting, and yesterday, they got a phone call that their little baby boy was waiting on them! They had about two hours notice, and they now have the most perfect little boy in their house today! What an amazing Valentine's gift! You may also want to check out their super cute "Hi" hoodies, and canvas prints over at Vine & Ever. 100% of the proceeds will help to fund their adoption, and once their adoption is fully funded, they'll be supporting other families! My girls have their "Hi" hoodies, and I told Madison that they needed to make them in adult sizes because they are the softest sweatshirts ever!

Hope you all have a fabulous Valentine's day! May you be loved!

#Weltegram2014 and Weekly Catch-Up

This year, I've decided to document our lives in a fun, new way for us! I was inspired by Shay to take pictures of our daily life, and share them via Instagram!, Using the #weltegram2014, or by following my account (@ewelte), you'll be getting a daily picture of the Welte's!
This is our 1st picture of 2014. Meggie and I together, after staying up past midnight to celebrate the New Year!

Day 2: I love seeing these two sisters cuddle together!

Meggie stayed up entirely too late that night! She kept sneaking out of bed, and cuddling with us. Later that night, we had a huge meltdown with her, when DJ and I were both exhausted battling her "stalling methods" and after she woke up Adalyn. It was sweet at first, then, it just became a battle of wills.

Gretchen woke up wanting to cook us breakfast since she was a little 'naughty' the day before. Sweet girl made us cinnamon rolls (with daddy's help!)

Day 3: Adalyn had her 6 month doctor's appointment.
Day 4: I snuggled with the girl all day long!

DJ took the big girls to the mall and to Chick Fil A.
Gretchen wore her princess crown all day!
Day 5: These girls were praying for a snow day on Monday!
Later that night, after our snow day was announced, we watched two of our former teams compete in the GoDaddy.com bowl!

DJ was thrilled that stAte pulled out a victory!
Day 6: Our snow day was full of dress up, muffin baking, and fort making!
Day 7: Book reading and snuggles before bedtime with my three little honey pie's!
I'm also doing a January photo a day challenge with Erica and Andrea, and Wednesday's theme was "happy". This big girl makes me happy! Every school day I get to take her to the bus stop and we have time to talk and chit chat, which I know must be so important to her growing up into a Christ-loving little lady!

IPhone Picture Re-Cap

Last week was nothing short of a miracle that we survived. The girls and I were home Monday and Tuesday thanks to more snow days. I was honestly glad to be off on Monday, but by Tuesday, I was ready to get back to work. I had planned to take the girls to the movie Tuesday morning, and then decided that I might be crazy bundling them up and taking all three girls to the movie by myself. So, we stayed home and made gingerbread houses instead. (I'll post more about that later this week.)

I was ready to get back to work on Wednesday, until I realized this:
I hadn't actually caught up on laundry over the break.

I mean, I did once, and then I got behind again.

We spent this past weekend trying to catch up (again). I'm pretty sure laundry will be a daily chore in my house. Forever.
I decided to go ahead and send out Christmas cards this year. I went back and forth about sending out cards, and finally last week I decided I should go ahead and do it. They'll likely be late going out seeing as to how I just ordered them last week and they still haven't arrived, so I went with something sort of non-Christmasy.

I was working on the card, and sent DJ the picture above and he told me absolutely no to the pictures I had chosen! I loved the picture of Megan picking her nose and Gretchen freezing in the snow, but DJ was afraid someone would call CPS on us after receiving our card.
I was going to save this for a What I Wear Wednesday post, but really- should I show me off in my pj's? I'm still not sure..... but it was so cold every day last week that I just wanted to get home and put on pajamas. I've had these for about 6 years and I love them. I think they'll be my Christmas morning pajamas this year.
Our elf stole a hair bow last week and hung out in the bathroom.

And yes, that is a picture of Meggie sucking on her "dede" and sitting on the potty. She just looked so cute and I couldn't resist taking the picture and then framing it.

After we survived the work week, we were ready to enjoy some family time this weekend!

DJ and I took the girls to see Frozen on Saturday (pics to be posted later). If you have not seen it, I highly recommend it! We'll be adding it to our DVD library!
Once we got home Saturday afternoon, Addy Pearl just wanted to be held! I put her in the bjorn and carried her around until she fell asleep. Then I sat down and enjoyed resting! I thought I may never have to get up!

Our elf was found taking a ride on the toy train.
Addy Pearl before going to bed on Saturday night.

I got the best news ever when I found out Sunday morning that my best friend got engaged this weekend!!!!! I know she's been anxiously awaiting for her man to pop the question over the last year.... or maybe, all of her family and friends have been anxiously awaiting! I may or may not have shed a few tears of happiness for her!
And lastly, I took the girls to see Santa when we were in Branson, and I finally snapped a picture of the picture with my phone, so I could post it online. Aren't their Christmas pajamas precious!

And y'all, it's 5 more days of the work week before I get two weeks off over Christmas break! I'm counting them down, because this week, just may be my busiest work week ever!

Tooth Fairy, Veteran's Day, & a Few More Pics

It's Monday, which means, it's my first day back to full time employment. I'm praying that I can handle this week! DJ is going to be going to work early and coming home late because TU plays a home game on Thursday. At this point, I'm still debating even going to the game, because that means a babysitter and a late night for me. On the bright side, it means that he could be home Saturday, which would be amazing!

Because we lost our game over the weekend, TU is not bowl eligible this year. It's bittersweet. I hate it for the coaches and players, but i'm also grateful because that means we have three more weeks of football and our December and Christmas can be "normal" for us this year. I am so, so ready to have DJ home!

Here's a few pics from last week:
I absolutely love that I have an embroidery machine. I found this cute little dress at Old Navy. It's pink and orange stripe, and then I found leggings that are orange with pink stripe. I bought it for Addy Pearl, and then monogrammed an "A" on the top of the dress.
DJ made it home last Wednesday night before the girls went to bed and we watched a little bit of the CMA's together as a family. At one point, he had all the girls and they were happy, so we had to get a picture.
On Thursday, I made the girls wear their matching apron skirts and shirts that I made them, although getting a picture of the two of them both smiling and looking at the camera is next to impossible. Especially when they're figuring out which pumpkin to sit on. (Gretchen's idea.)
Thursday night I came home and slipped on my pj's and this Ball State shirt. I thought to myself, that it was a good thing I wore this Thursday night, because it would've been bad to pack it for the wives trip over the weekend. Little did I know that BSU was also playing Thursday night. They're having a spectacular season.
Addy fell asleep on the floor one night, and Megan went over, lifted her head and put a pillow underneath, and then covered her up with a blanket. It was so sweet.

I picked the girls up from school on Thursday and we headed to Target. We got home and I sent Gretchen upstairs to clean her room when she yelled, "Mom, there's something wrong with my mouth!" I could tell that she was a little freaked out, so I had her come downstairs so I could see. Admittedly, I sometimes brush off her little concerns, but I could tell in her voice, that something was wrong. She came downstairs and I noticed that she was bleeding, so I took a look in her mouth and lo and behold, her tooth was missing!
When I told her she squealed with excitement and we went upstairs to look for the missing tooth. We couldn't find it. As I was looking for her tooth, she pulled her tooth box down from her chest of drawers and said that we could put her tooth in it until it was time for bed and time to put her tooth in her tooth fairy pillow. At that time, I had to explain the tooth was missing, and wouldn't be able to go in her pillow and she began to cry. I assured her that the tooth fairy would still come and visit her that night. She asked how I knew, and I just explained that the tooth fairy was magic and she just knew.

We were all shocked that the tooth went missing because we didn't even know it was loose. I had just checked her teeth a few weeks ago, and there was no wiggle to any of them. Later that night we learned that she had hit her mouth on the monkey bars at school, so I'm guessing that the monkey bars knocked her tooth loose and when we got home it finally fell out. My best guess is that she swallowed her tooth. She said that she felt that her tooth was crooked, and then I think that's when she yelled for me.

I remember loosing my first tooth and my dad pulling it at our kitchen table. I think it fell on the floor and I was scared to death. My mom has it video taped and it was such a tragic event for me. I'm kind of sad that we didn't get to experience the wiggle of the tooth or trying to pull it out, but I'm also glad that it was an easy experience, and she has a mouth full of baby teeth that will eventually fall out.

My mom also has my first tooth taped in my baby book, and i'm sad that I won't have Gretchen's first tooth.
That night, she wrote a letter to the tooth fairy, and went straight to bed.

She was just so excited!
Here she is pretending to sleep.

About 45 minutes after going to bed, she came downstairs and was disappointed that the tooth fairy hadn't visited. I told her she hadn't been asleep long enough.

I was totally unprepared for her to be loosing a tooth, so I had to call our neighbor, whose daughter is the same age as Gretchen and had just lost her first tooth a few weeks ago. Thankfully, she had sparkle hair spray to spray on the money, to make it look like fairy dust. I really wanted to sprinkle glitter around, but I didn't have any, and none of our neighbors did either. I also wanted to print out a little tooth certificate from Pinterest, but our printer was out of ink. I was totally unprepared.

Around 11:15 that night, Gretchen woke up and discovered that the tooth fairy had left her money and had written her a letter back.
Friday, was Gretchen's Veteran's day parade at school. She wore her 4th of July dress that I made her, and her 4th of July chunky necklace and a red hair bow.

She made the flag picture a few weeks ago.

Thank you to all of the veterans that have served our country. My father in law, my sister, and her husband, my grandfather….. thank you to every single one of you that has risked their life in order for our country to maintain it's freedom.

I hope you all have a blessed day!

Silly Girls, Some News, & a Few Order Peaks!

The girls have been in some sort of strange mood all week. I think it was daylight saving time. Megan is no longer staying in her room at night, and we're all exhausted by the end of the day.

Monday afternoon, G was watching t.v. like this:

Tuesday morning, Megan was acting like this:
I don't know what has gotten into those two girls but our home has been full of smiles, laughter, and exhaustion. Maybe the smiles and laughter are because of the exhaustion?

Addy Pearl had her 4 month well baby check up on Tuesday. She's a whopping 13 lbs 6 oz and is 24.4 inches long. 45th % for weight and 69% for height. I'm hoping she'll be tall like her daddy!
Wednesday morning, Megan was up at ten till 6. This was after she was in and out of our bed all night. She was still full of smiles and laughter all morning! I was feeding Addy, and she was trying to climb in my lap with her pillow and blanket.
I also just wanted to share, that I am so happy with where Honey Pie Accessories is right now. I just feel so blessed. Last year, my heart was not into my business and even the year before that. I was just doing a little here and there. But, in January of this past year, I made the decision to dive in head first again, and I just cannot believe where I am today. My fans are awesome. God is awesome.

This past week, I participated in a giveaway on Facebook, and I grew by 1,000 new fans! I'm just amazed! Because I finally reached over 4,000 likes I decided to host my own giveaway- you can enter here. The grand prize is a $20.00 gift certificate to my shop. Three smaller prizes include a free hair bow, and two coupon codes.

Once, I decided to host a 4,000 fan celebration, my likes grew quickly from 4,000 to 4,500 then over 4,700. I'm so close to having to host a 5,000 fan celebration and it's all because of y'all!

This week I've been busy working on Christmas pajama orders. I am so glad I opened these up to y'all to order as well, because I'm loving how they're turning out!

I know many of you missed out on Christmas pajamas, and seriously I was ordering these as time was running out! So, I'm planning far in advance, and working on a Spring Pajama Pre-Order! I've already decided that we need a new tradition in our family for the girls to have matching pajamas on Easter morning as well as Christmas morning!

I think you should add this new tradition to your family too!

This week I finished these two Christmas shirts for sisters! I'm working on their matching hair bows now!
Then, I did a little fun sewing. I made this adorable "Merry Christmas" leopard Santa bib with a matching leopard burp cloth! You can find it in the auction!
Then, I made these two boy burp cloths that are in the auction as well!
I just can't say thank you enough for everyone's support over the last several months!

I do have one more exciting announcement, and that is that this coming Monday, I will begin working full time again. I'm not going to lie, it's a little bittersweet, but I'm so excited! I know that my evenings are going to be filled with completing orders, as well as taking care of and spending time with my three girls. I'm sure my weekends will be filled with the same kind of fun! I just ask for your patience as I'm working so hard to complete orders. It is my ultimate dream that I can turn HPA into a full time business, but I know that with two young children in daycare, that it's not an option at the moment. I know many people will think that i'm crazy to make myself so busy, but if I didn't love it, I wouldn't do it!

I am taking a little break this weekend and traveling on our wives trip to East Carolina, so say a prayer as DJ and I travel with TU, and as my mom cares for all three girls!

Y'all have a great weekend!

5 on Friday

I'm linking up again this week for "5 on Friday" with several amazing blog hosts! Thanks ladies for letting us join in on the fun!
THE GOOD LIFE BLOG

1. Here's a sneak peak at the girls before we headed out trick or treating last night. I'll do a full right up next week; i'm just too pooped to do it right now!

And, before we move on, I have no idea why the formatting is like this, just go with it, mm'kay.

2. Meggie and Addy wore their caramel apple shirts and bows that I made them to school earlier this week and they just looked so cute! Megan has been asking to hold Addy more this week. Addy was fussing after waking up for a nap and I was busy doing something, or maybe just lazy, so I asked DJ to go get Adalyn and change her diaper. He asked Megan to do it, and the next thing we knew, Meggie was getting a diaper out for Addy and then trying to crawl in Addy's crib!
3. I shipped out all Christmas pillowcases on Monday! I was so relieved to get them done! But, there is still time to order if you'd like!
4. The girls were still on a sugar high this morning, and I couldn't be more thankful to send them to school today! I'm planning a low key night, and i'm hoping to snag this movie from Redbox today!
5. It's drug free week at Gretchen's school and all week she has dressed up along with the theme, and I forgot to take pictures. But today is, "What I want to be when I grow up" and Gretchen chose a princess. Of course she did. Megan had pajama day, so we sent her to school in her Thanksgiving pj's!

Hope y'all have a great Friday!
