More Newborn Pictures

Monday night, the oh so talented, Madison Vining of Madison Vining Photography came over to show us all of Adalyn's newborn pictures. I think I could have bought all of the images, and I had a really difficult time narrowing it down to just the basics of what we needed for our house and for her grandparents! I'm so thankful that she was able to share these sneak peeks on her facebook page and now I can share them with y'all!
I totally love Miss A in her crib, wearing a little princess crown made by my "aunt" Jan. My mom made all of A's crib bedding, and I love how it's pictured, and Gretchen and I made the "A" monogram above her crib. This picture just has such special individual items in it, including the precious little baby girl!
This is one of my favorite's too! I love Adalyn laying in her dresser drawer with all of our vintage finds hanging above. We actually found her dresser at a side of the road store and purchased her dresser (and night stand) for all of $150.00! And, it was already refinished into the perfect shade of green. The frames and urn picture came from River City Trading Post located in Jenks. The dress that is hanging up was mine when I was a baby.

When Madison posted this picture to her facebook page, it had almost 300 'likes' on it the first day! However, someone did comment that it is not a safe picture because Adalyn could have fallen out of the drawer. I just want to say that a three day old baby doesn't move too much, she was totally cushioned in, and DJ and I were both standing on each side of the dresser. I would not put my baby in harms way just for a picture, I knew that she was secure in the dresser drawer...... moving on....
How precious is she lying in DJ's arm. We didn't order this picture, but we ordered a picture of DJ holding her like this and giving her a kiss. It just melted my heart.
I love this picture that shows the girls personalities so well! G has a look that she totally doesn't care and MC is being her silly self!
And, a last of the sneak peeks, one of just the three of us.

Madison, I cannot thank you enough for capturing our family and three day old baby girl! I cannot believe that she'll be 4 weeks this coming Friday!!! As always, fabulous job! Thank you.

My Products as Photography Props

I was so excited when I contacted a photographer a few months ago about using some of my hair flair pieces in her photography as photo props! I received the images earlier this week and I could not be more thrilled with the pictures! And the babies, oh the sweet little babies!
Above: Trio of pink shabby rosettes with ruffled ribbon bow and bling.

I think i'm totally remaking this one for Adalyn.
I wasn't quite sure about the piece above when I started putting it together. It was such a hodge podge of flowers and pieces, and afterwards.... I just love it!

It kind of makes me giddy inside knowing that a family might have chosen one of these portraits to hang in their house- their new baby girl and MY hair flair!
And how sweet is this little girl for her first birthday shoot! I'm not only in love with the hair flair, but also that tutu!

I hope that she had a fabulous birthday, and it totally looks like she enjoyed her cake!
Hair Flair pieces start out at $10.00 and I'd love to create a custom hair flair piece to match an outfit or for a photography prop! I also offer a discount for professional photographers in exchange for photo's. Please message me to find out more and check out my other hair accessories on my facebook page

Ready-to-Ship

During the Super Bowl last week, I was able to work on a few new products! I've been so busy this week, that I haven't had time to blog about them, but they are all listed on my Facebook page.

I am totally in love with this lavendar nagorie feather hair piece. I think it would make a beautiful photo prop for a newborn baby. Swoon.
This next piece is cowgirl chique. I love, the shimmering fabric and the pearl adds such a classic touch.
I think this one will be added to our own collection! I'm going to attach it to an elastic headband and let MC wear it on Valentine's day. I started out just making the stripe bow with the heart, and then I added the pink and white chevron scalloped edge fabric, and the sequins. Love.
I need to take some time to get a better picture of the following hair piece. I had to screen shot it from my instagram account. Follow me on Instagram (@ewelte) and you'll get a sneak peek of many of these pieces before they're even added to Facebook!

This piece is made with a turquoise ostrich puff and has lime green accents. It just makes me think of spring time and summer! I still think this could be a great photo prop paired with a lime green romper, which I can wholesale order for you!
I recently started making bow ties. The first one I made was for Bri Woods Chaney Photography and I have since made three more!

This pink and white chevron bow tie was actually made for a puppy! #spoiledpets The bow tie has an elastic loop which will slide onto her collar and is 100% hand sewn, so it can be easily washed.
This is the other bow tie I made, which is the exact same as the photo prop I made for Bri, and I've had two more orders for the exact same tie! I can't wait to make more of these!
I also had a custom request for a dinsoaur burpie, I just love it! (There's a matching bib as well, it's just not pictured.)
I ordered this butterfly fabric on Etsy while I was searching for other fabrics. I just thought it was so sweet. I plain on adding a bib and applique shirt to the set as well.
I've also been working on bibs more. I just have really felt the need to sew and use my machine, and i'm just loving it! I have looked forward to going home every day to sew, but unfortunately, life has been to busy and I have been to exhausted to get up to my sewing space this week. Which just left me longing for the weekend! DJ is also going out of town soon, and I'm really hoping I can have some guilt free sewing while he's away.

I think this bib is perfect for a boy or a girl in it's soft lime green color.
Make sure you're a fan of my facebook page! I've started offering daily specials!

Family Photos 2012

This week DJ and I received our family photo's back from the very talented Madison Vining. We were more than thrilled with the results, and she did a fabulous job capturing our girls and our family.

G is such a performer, and loves to be the center of attention, as we were in a building, she found a microphone and started singing. Maybe she's the next American Idol? If so, you'll see this photo in about 18 years!

MC is quite the runner. She never sits still. She loves to climb, and this photo, shows that personality trait off perfectly.

Thank you Madison, for doing an amazing job, yet again in capturing our family!

Tulsa Lifestyle Photographer: Review

I want to introduce you to Madison Vining Photography. She took our family photos last fall, and i'm still in love with them!
She is an amazing photographer here in Tulsa! She has been perfecting her art for the last two years, and has taken some amazing images! Not only does she shoot families, she takes amazing high school senior pictures, baby and children portraits, weddings, and my new favorite boudoir!
Here's one she took of G. This one is framed in my living room, and it's by far my favorite picture that has ever been taken of her!
Here's my chunky MC when she was just 4 1/2 months old! I love her eyes!
Madison has compiled a workbook where you can learn digital photography yourself! She teaches you all about your DSLR camera, lighting composition, and how to capture the perfect shots of your own kids! And, for THREE days only, "Very Jane" has picked up her workbook and is offering it at only half price! You can get her workbook here.  But, hurry, because only a limited amount are being offered!

We met with Madison last Friday night and took our new family pictures and here's a sneek peak at one of them! Isn't it fabulous?!

I want to offer one more thing: MVP is having a referral contest on her facebook page. I am asking each of you that have read this post to please head over to her page and 'like' it- I promise, you'll love looking through the images! Next, and this is a MUST, find the status update on her wall that says, "Referral Contest", and comment with "Elaine Welte".... that lets her know that you found her through me! I am dying to win a boudoir photo shoot with Madison, and let's be honest, DJ wouldn't mind me winning either!!!!

I also want to thank Madison for always producing the most amazing images! I know that she'll be our "go-to" photographer while we are living in Tulsa!

MC's 1 year professional photos

While we were in Indiana last week, the girls & I drove to Muncie to not only visit friends, but to also have MC's 1 year pictures taken by our photographer there. We had used her several times before, and I knew that when we would be visiting around the time of MC's birthday, I knew I wanted to use her again to capture this time.
I love these photo card collages that she creates!

MC's first outfit was a pair of overalls that I purchased from a Facebook page, and forgive me, but I cannot think of the name of it right now. But, she was having an auction, and when I saw these, I knew that MC needed them!

We met the photographer at the Minnetrista, inMuncie (we've had pictures there before), and we started off in the children's play garden.
Theere was the neatest little circle of letters, and when I saw them, I suggested we have MC's picture made with the "M", however, the "M" was missing! Out of all the letters, the "M" was just gone! Thankfully, the stakes pulled out, and we just turned the "W" upside down!
MC was a natural, and Megan (the photographer) did a fabulous job!

Our next outfit, was her actual birthday party outfit. I brought the banner that I had made for MC's party, as well as her party hat that my mom made.
I also brought the 'puff' headband that she wore on her birthday. Her outfit is a Mud Pie brand, as is the headband.
And, for a more simple look, we added the bow. Yes, y'all, three hair accessory changes in one outfit! What can we say, we love hair accessories!
Finally, I changed her into a smocked dress, that I purchased from Rhea Lana's consignment sale!

We ended up with over 77 images, and I honestly don't think i'll be able to choose my favorite! They all turned out so well, and I'm just so pleased with Megan's work (the photographer that is!) I really hate that we are living so far away now!
Bye y'all!
