Silly Girls, Some News, & a Few Order Peaks!

The girls have been in some sort of strange mood all week. I think it was daylight saving time. Megan is no longer staying in her room at night, and we're all exhausted by the end of the day.

Monday afternoon, G was watching t.v. like this:

Tuesday morning, Megan was acting like this:
I don't know what has gotten into those two girls but our home has been full of smiles, laughter, and exhaustion. Maybe the smiles and laughter are because of the exhaustion?

Addy Pearl had her 4 month well baby check up on Tuesday. She's a whopping 13 lbs 6 oz and is 24.4 inches long. 45th % for weight and 69% for height. I'm hoping she'll be tall like her daddy!
Wednesday morning, Megan was up at ten till 6. This was after she was in and out of our bed all night. She was still full of smiles and laughter all morning! I was feeding Addy, and she was trying to climb in my lap with her pillow and blanket.
I also just wanted to share, that I am so happy with where Honey Pie Accessories is right now. I just feel so blessed. Last year, my heart was not into my business and even the year before that. I was just doing a little here and there. But, in January of this past year, I made the decision to dive in head first again, and I just cannot believe where I am today. My fans are awesome. God is awesome.

This past week, I participated in a giveaway on Facebook, and I grew by 1,000 new fans! I'm just amazed! Because I finally reached over 4,000 likes I decided to host my own giveaway- you can enter here. The grand prize is a $20.00 gift certificate to my shop. Three smaller prizes include a free hair bow, and two coupon codes.

Once, I decided to host a 4,000 fan celebration, my likes grew quickly from 4,000 to 4,500 then over 4,700. I'm so close to having to host a 5,000 fan celebration and it's all because of y'all!

This week I've been busy working on Christmas pajama orders. I am so glad I opened these up to y'all to order as well, because I'm loving how they're turning out!

I know many of you missed out on Christmas pajamas, and seriously I was ordering these as time was running out! So, I'm planning far in advance, and working on a Spring Pajama Pre-Order! I've already decided that we need a new tradition in our family for the girls to have matching pajamas on Easter morning as well as Christmas morning!

I think you should add this new tradition to your family too!

This week I finished these two Christmas shirts for sisters! I'm working on their matching hair bows now!
Then, I did a little fun sewing. I made this adorable "Merry Christmas" leopard Santa bib with a matching leopard burp cloth! You can find it in the auction!
Then, I made these two boy burp cloths that are in the auction as well!
I just can't say thank you enough for everyone's support over the last several months!

I do have one more exciting announcement, and that is that this coming Monday, I will begin working full time again. I'm not going to lie, it's a little bittersweet, but I'm so excited! I know that my evenings are going to be filled with completing orders, as well as taking care of and spending time with my three girls. I'm sure my weekends will be filled with the same kind of fun! I just ask for your patience as I'm working so hard to complete orders. It is my ultimate dream that I can turn HPA into a full time business, but I know that with two young children in daycare, that it's not an option at the moment. I know many people will think that i'm crazy to make myself so busy, but if I didn't love it, I wouldn't do it!

I am taking a little break this weekend and traveling on our wives trip to East Carolina, so say a prayer as DJ and I travel with TU, and as my mom cares for all three girls!

Y'all have a great weekend!

Burpies and Bows

This past weekend I did a lot of sewing! I've been working on collegiate product tester orders and I'm so excited that they're almost done! But I also wanted to work on some burp cloth collections.
The one above has mustard yellow and grey chevron. I think it's perfect for a baby gift if the gender is unknown! It totally goes both ways!
Gretchen has a dress in this lemon material above and i'm just in love with it! I love the vintage flair the lemonade fabric has. These burpies are sold as a set for $13.00 or $8.00 each, and I have enough material for a matching baby bib for only $8.00! I just adore these colors! Pink and yellow are one of my favorite color combinations for girls!
One of my friends from college just had her baby girl a month ago and she contacted me about ordering  bows for Miss Avi! She let me know the color combinations she wanted, and they were so fun to create! She chose pink and green, yellow and navy, navy and pink, yellow and pink, and aqua and lime! I tried to make each bow different and I know Miss Avi will be so sweet wearing them!

Feel free to pin any of these images and 'like' my facebook page as well!

Ice Cream, Tutu, and Mustaches

Last week, I finished a few orders and projects that have been slowly piling up.
I love, love, love this I Scream, You Scream applique shirt and made to match bow.

Several weeks ago, I asked my facebook fans to be a product tester for a few designs I wanted to create. My product testers get a discount on their order and they're allowed to choose the design they're interested in. I have free reign on the rest!
I chose this neon green shirt, and added a brown ice cream cone, pink dot ice cream, a cherry, and a turquoise bow.

And, even though, the customer did not order the made to match bow, I couldn't resist making one! This one has a hot pink base boutique bow, a red loop, and on it's side is a turquoise bow with a red sequin center.

You can now purchase the entire set for just $25.00!

I participated in an auction in April, and I finally completed the customers tutu skirt that she won! She had originally told me to make the skirt similar to the auction picture, but also said that pink would be fine. So, I went with pink. I couldn't resist myself when I found the pink and mustard polk a dot. (Have I mentioned that i'm in love with mustard yellow?!) I also added the pink and mustard chevron print and a solid pink.

Love this.
Apparently, babies are in the water right now. I had two friends have babies in March, and my school principal had a baby in March. There's another teacher at my school who is pregnant, and then our assistant principal (who struggled with infertility) is pregnant! I also have several college friends that are pregnant and due in July!!! I'm telling you, it's in the water- so don't drink it!

I made this mustache applique shirt and matching burpie for our assistant principal that is pregnant! I have been wanting to complete this projects for weeks and i've had the idea for the shirt even longer; just no excuse to make it- until now!
I mustache, if you love it?!

Hog Wild & More

I found this Razorback ribbon in a group buy a few weeks ago and I knew I had to snatch it up right away! I was so excited when it came in, and I received a custom order on the ribbon that same night!

This "Peace, Love, Hogs" bow pairs perfectly with zebra ribbon and red and white dots. It retails for $10.00.
I rarely post side-vide photos of my bows, but I love the perspective. This bow is made with three bows stacked on top of each other, which gives it extra fullness and height.
If larger bows aren't your style, I can make a simple "Hogs" bow for just $6.00

I recently offered a buy one get one free on bows, and I love that I was able to use such fun colors in this order! It just screams summer-time!
I made this whale applique onesie and matching hair bow as well. Both are listed on my facebook page!
I've shared these flip flops with you before, but look at them when paired with pigtail bows- so cute!
I also recently ordered this "Owl You Need is Love" ribbon and couldn't wait to set to work on a bow! I paired it with a coral and white chevron.
I love fabric shopping just as much as I love clothes shopping! When I was at Hobby Lobby checking out some ribbon, this fabric literally jumped off the shelf at me... okay, well not really, but it screamed, "buy me!"

I made a ready-to-ship bib with minky backing.
And, a burpie.
Then, I made a jumbo flower applique shirt with this material! This is a size 5 and is ready to ship for just $18.00!
I haven't done much sewing this week due to exhaustion.... This baby is growing and kicking and wearing me out! I'm hoping that in the afternoon, i'll be able to come home and set to work while the girls play in the play room before dinner.

Bibs, Burpies, and Bows

I have been a sewing mad woman lately! I have just finally gotten back all of my energy and motivation to put towards sewing and bow making that I've been working my tail off.... okay, well maybe not, but I have been sewing more often lately, and my husband has been great about giving me a few hours a few nights a week after the girls are asleep. There has been at least one afternoon a week, where I take the girls up to the playroom and let them play while I sew and work on projects, and then we go down for dinner, clean up and goodnights, and I go back up for more sewing time. It really has been working out well, and i'm just feeling very blessed. And, I really owe most of that to my husband whose been so supportive and to my customers and fans!

My principal at one of my elementary schools is due with her first child in April! Not the best timing for a principal, but she's thrilled- as she should be- and i'm sort of jealous she'll have April through August off with the baby! This is her first little girl, and I just had to make her a few burpies!
I added applique flowers at the opposite end of one of the burpies just for a whimsical touch.
And, she's receiving a matching yo-yo hair clippie as well! I'm also going to purchase a few small things off her registry to make this a complete gift!
I went to Hobby Lobby the other day and I fell in love with this chick Easter fabric. I don't know why I bought it, because the girls don't need anything out of the material, but it spoke to me and said, "Make me a bib"....... and i'll be making a burpie too.

I just think it would be so cute in baby's first Easter basket! Too bad that baby A isn't coming soon, so this bib is up for grabs if you know of anyone or if you yourself are due with a baby soon! It's $8.00 plus S&H.
I offered a sale last week on my facebook page for $3.00 boutique bows. One of my old college friends purchased three for her baby girl due in April. Here's one of her bows! An adorable lime green boutique bow!
I also have these "Big Sister" "Litlte Sister" boutique bows ready to ship! Buy just one for $6.00 or get them both for $10.00! (I need to find "big sister", "middle sister", and "little sister" ribbon fo rmy girls!)
I had just enough ribbon to make this mod-dot half pinwheel bow, and it's only $4.00! What a steal!!!
And finally, these bow flip flops!!!!!!
No lie, I have had three pair of flip flops in my craft supplies for two years. Just sitting there... waiting. I purchased some new ribbons this week, and then I realized how cute they'd be on the flip flops! So, here they are, after waiting for two years! I also have two pair of yellow flip flops that I'll be working on soon!

These flip flops are 8 inches in length, but fit my 5 year old's size 10/11 foot.

These flip flops are ready to ship for just $15.00!

Thank you so much for keeping me motivated and allowing me to share my creations with you! I'ts more than just an accessory..... it's a lifestyle!

Ready-to-Ship

During the Super Bowl last week, I was able to work on a few new products! I've been so busy this week, that I haven't had time to blog about them, but they are all listed on my Facebook page.

I am totally in love with this lavendar nagorie feather hair piece. I think it would make a beautiful photo prop for a newborn baby. Swoon.
This next piece is cowgirl chique. I love, the shimmering fabric and the pearl adds such a classic touch.
I think this one will be added to our own collection! I'm going to attach it to an elastic headband and let MC wear it on Valentine's day. I started out just making the stripe bow with the heart, and then I added the pink and white chevron scalloped edge fabric, and the sequins. Love.
I need to take some time to get a better picture of the following hair piece. I had to screen shot it from my instagram account. Follow me on Instagram (@ewelte) and you'll get a sneak peek of many of these pieces before they're even added to Facebook!

This piece is made with a turquoise ostrich puff and has lime green accents. It just makes me think of spring time and summer! I still think this could be a great photo prop paired with a lime green romper, which I can wholesale order for you!
I recently started making bow ties. The first one I made was for Bri Woods Chaney Photography and I have since made three more!

This pink and white chevron bow tie was actually made for a puppy! #spoiledpets The bow tie has an elastic loop which will slide onto her collar and is 100% hand sewn, so it can be easily washed.
This is the other bow tie I made, which is the exact same as the photo prop I made for Bri, and I've had two more orders for the exact same tie! I can't wait to make more of these!
I also had a custom request for a dinsoaur burpie, I just love it! (There's a matching bib as well, it's just not pictured.)
I ordered this butterfly fabric on Etsy while I was searching for other fabrics. I just thought it was so sweet. I plain on adding a bib and applique shirt to the set as well.
I've also been working on bibs more. I just have really felt the need to sew and use my machine, and i'm just loving it! I have looked forward to going home every day to sew, but unfortunately, life has been to busy and I have been to exhausted to get up to my sewing space this week. Which just left me longing for the weekend! DJ is also going out of town soon, and I'm really hoping I can have some guilt free sewing while he's away.

I think this bib is perfect for a boy or a girl in it's soft lime green color.
Make sure you're a fan of my facebook page! I've started offering daily specials!

What's In? My Sewing Machine

I have been a sewing machine over the last week! It has felt so good to be back in a groove and to actually not feel stressed with all of the projects i've wanted to accomplish!

This week, I worked on a few baby shower gifts. We have two coaches wives that are pregnant (and due 3 days apart!) and we're having a shower for them this weekend. I love giving my hand made creations as gifts!

One of them will be recieving this burpie made with this preppy fabric.
Another is receiving this chevron bib that has a matching burpie! I'm totally in love with the way it turned out!
G's birthday is this week, and I always make her a shirt to wear on her special day. But, this year, her birthday is on Saturday, so we are having a small party earlier in the week at her preschool. I made this shirt for her to wear. She wasn't very specific on a design that she wanted, and since we did a crown last year, I just did a huge number 5 made with pink and white chevron and stitched in grey.
I also found this pink whale applique I had made probably two years ago, and it never sold. I had some 3 month onesies laying around, and I thought it would be perfectly sweet for this new baby girl due in July! (I haven't made the official announcement on the blog yet- so I guess this it!) I decided to stitch it in a dark green, and i'm going to add leg warmers and a matching bow later!
If you're interested in any of these products, please check out my facebook page! All of these make wonderful baby shower gifts (and i'm beginning to add a registry option to my page)! Don't forget, I love custom orders and a bib and burpie set start at only $10.00!

Latest Orders

I had several orders to work on this past weekend, and I thought I would share them with you!

This first bow is probably my favorite; because it's chevron! I'm totally in love with chevron right now!  And, my favorite ribbon supplier has just started carrying all sorts of chevron ribbon! You can bet your bows, that i'll be ordering & making more chevron bows!
I wanted to do a few "Thanksgiving" bows, although my holiday hair bows aren't always my best sellers. I really like making my items, multi-functional, and this bow isn't any different! It is a brown boutique bow with a pumpkin ribbon sculpture clippie. But, they can each be worn separately! So, after fall, you'll still have a great basic brown bow!
This turkey bow is made in the same way. The adorable sculptured ribbon turkey can be worn alone, or with the brown base bow.
I also had a custom request to create a "Union" themed hair bow. I'm currently working for USD, and I had fun creating these bows for a raffle basket!
 I also made a pony-o!

Both of these bows, will be placed in a raffle basket with an adorable red, black, and zebra skirt, "Union" bling t's, and tutu's! If you're a local, you can bid on these items at Union's Dinner on November 3rd.
Finally, I worked on this adorable pink chevron bib and burpie! These make fabulous baby gifts, and are a steal at only $10.00! If you feel like spending more, you can always add a coordinating bow or paci clip to match! (I have more of this pink chevron fabric if anyone's interested!)
Thanks for letting me show off my latest creations! You can purchase any of these or custom order your own here.

Which one is your favorite?
