Presents are always such a fun party of the party! I love to see the gifts that people have chosen and the excitement in the birthday child's eyes. If we are at a friends party, G often exclaims, "I have that!" and they all squeal in delight! It's like Christmas- I love it!
I sat MC in her bumbo chair while we opened presents, I guess I didn't want her moving around too much. I still think she's so much smaller than G was at this point, and I remember that G sat in my lap and reached into her presents; i'm not sure why I don't think MC can and should do the same things. But, with a big sister around, it was inevitable that MC wouldn't be opening her own gifts anyway. One of our dear friends gave MC the cutest little lego truck! It's one of her favorite presents!
Gee brought MC a ball popper. MC's sitter said that she was able to walk around pushing/pulling this toy, and I honestly didn't believe that MC was walking independently doing this. Well, if she does it at daycare she sure isn't interested in doing it at home, but G sure does love all the noise this toy makes!
The bigger girls were in the way of much of the present opening pictures, but we did get this close up of MC.
And, she received a baby doll from my aunt, and she loves it. MC loves to play with dolls. When you hand one to her, she reaches both arms out and pulls it in for a big hug.
After MC smashed into her cake and we had ice cream sundaes (that's another post). We turned on the water toys and played outside.
This was MCs 2nd time in the pool, (this year) and I think she enjoyed it much better than her first time in March. Her bathing suit was a birthday present from DJ and I; I got it at a steal of $3.00 from Target!
I think this is the only picture that I have of myself with MC; this is after her pool time, and she was starting to need her afternoon nap!
We set up our corn hole game and all enjoyed taking turns playing.
And here's Miss A. She came appropriately dressed in a cupcake dress!
