The best part of any party is the food! We decked out our ice cream sundaes with lots of options for toppings! Guests could choose from peanut butter cups (my favorite), snickers, m&ms, marshmallows, cherries, peanuts, sixlets, whipped cream, & syrups!
It was so hard to just choose a few toppings! Thankfully, we've had some left over, so we still get to celebrate with sundaes! (Which, is not good for my waistline!)One of my speech kiddos moms bakes. She happened to mention it during a therapy session, so one afternoon, we sat and talked about her making a cake for MC. I showed her some pictures that I had found on Pinerest. And this is what we came up with:
MC's cake was vanilla with a pink buttercream frosting. There were 3 ice cream cones on the side filled with white icing and topped with sprinkles. I debated on purchasing a large cake, but I knew the sundaes would be filling enough. So, I only gave this cake to MC as her "smash cake", but I did steal a few bites as well!
Because the party was on Sunday afternoon, I served a light lunch. I made homemade chicken salad and filled it in sugar cones!
We also had chips and fruit kabobs!
I can't decide if the food or decorations were my favorite part!
