Easter morning, the girls woke early to find their Easter baskets on the dining room table. G actually woke up at 5:00 that morning, snuck into Gee's room, and told Gee that the Easter bunny had come! My mom tried to get G to go back to sleep, but she was totally unsuccessful! G woke us all up by 7 so she could open her basket!
I love the tradition of the girls using the same baskets each year. G received a chocolate bunny, a Fancy Nancy and Ladybug Girl book, a Brave nightgown, peeps, a little candy, a chunky beaded Sofia the First necklace, and a Doc McStuffins toy.
MC also received a chocolate bunny, The Easter Egg book, flamingo pj's, a juice box holder, peeps, candy, a chunky beaded necklace, and Belle.
After their baskets had been put together, I wrapped them in cellophane. I remember my mom wrapping our baskets, and I don't think many people still wrap baskets, other than the $5.00 ones at Wal-Mart! But, I had a facebook friend, comment that my girls had the prettiest Easter baskets she had seen that day because mine were the only ones wrapped! It was just so sweet! This is only the first or second time that i've wrapped their baskets, and I think i'll continue.
Here are the girls and I Easter morning- pardon, but I was exhausted.
Both girls loved their necklaces! (These are kind of my new obsession for the girls!)
After Easter basket time, Gee cooked breakfast and we got ready for church!
