One of the crafter's in my Facebook craft group mentioned yesterday, that her daughter thinks that she's able to create anything! This is what her daughter said to her when she handed her mother a shoelace, "Mom, I want this to be a pinata with candy and chocolate inside!"
Isn't that hilarious! I love that our children have so much faith in us as parents! Up until today, G hadn't asked me to make much for her. Just an occasional bow or appliqué shirt. But as we were playing in the toy room she said, "Mom, I want you to make a friend for my doll." I told her that I wasn't sure how, and she sat down and drew me a picture. We then cut it out together, and she said, "Here, put this on some fabric." So, this is what we came up with:
This is her dolls friend. She picked out fabric for the front and back. I sewed it together, and she and I stuffed it with batting. She was disappointed that I had not added a gold crown, so I went back and made some zig zag stitches with my yellow thread, then I hot glued on some googly eyes that I had!
G played with her new friend most of the morning! Think I should add this to HPA?
