Christmas Morning

The girls were up pretty early on Christmas morning, as they were excited to see if Santa had surprised them and came to see them twice! (Since, he came to our house on the 22nd.) Actually, before bed, G prayed, "Dear Lord, Please let Santa come to see me again."

God answers prayers, or at least Pops and Grandma Dee do, because they made sure the girls had a few "Santa" presents under the Christmas tree! I learned later that Grandma Dee had never had a Christmas where, as an adult, she was able to enjoy the excitement kids had for Christmas! So, she made sure that the girls would have a magical morning!

The girls wore matching Christmas pj's that my mom bought them. (She buys the same plaid jammies for the girls every year!)
After having so many celebrations, MC was a pro at knowing that there were goodies inside the wrapped paper and she was ready to get started!
We decided to do stockings first.
We received candy, bandanas, small babies, pea dispensers, and more!
We even had a chocolate bar with millions of dollars!

 MC enjoyed the "balls".
After stockings, we ate a quick breakfast of fruit and cinnamon rolls. I was really impressed with how patient the girls were!
MC was even content playing with toys before we opened presents.
And, we took a few more pictures before digging in!

The girls were really excited to help their grandparents open the presents.

About 1/4 of the way through, we gave MC one of her presents, she took it over to this box and sat down and for 5 minutes she worked and worked until she had opened the present al by herself! She was so proud!
 G helped pass out presents.
The girls received princesses, Barbies, dolls, and more!

MC loved playing the flute that G received.
Pops received this Bears jacket from his brother.
Thank you Pops and Grandma Dee for making Christmas morning so special for the girls!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with DJ's dad and step mom this year.

The girls had lots of fun playing in their game room and hanging out with their grandparents!

 Here's DJ's dad: pops.
 And, their ginormous Christmas tree:
G decided to practice her gymnastic skills by tumbling off the picnic table.

Dianna fixed us a fabulous dinner, and it was so nice having a low key evening!

Christmas 1 at Gee's House

We made it to my parent's house around 5:00 on Saturday night. DJ unpacked the car, and the girls and I settled in to the couch!

I don't feel like I post a lot of pictures of my step-dad, but here's one from Saturday evening.... I was playing with my new camera and he was an easy subject, because he'd actually sit still!
G decided that she wanted to paint before dinner.
My brother, sister-in-law, and cutie patootie niece, A, were all there!
Here's Gee with all of her grand girls.... I think she's happiest when they're all with her!
MC and I hanging out before dinner.
MC loves to push the baby around in the stroller..... I think she'll be a good big sister!
My mom made chili, and we had chili dogs, or frito chili pie, with cheese dip, chocolate cake, and pumpkin pie!
My sister, her husband, and two kiddos came over for dinner and to open a few presents with us! Here's G with my niece, Shelby and nephew, Hayden.
Gee came up with the idea for a "Christmas Trivia" game, and we all had $1.00 store prizes!
Miss A crawling on my brother.
 Shelby choosing her prize.
 My beautiful sister, Michelle.
 Miss A and my sister-in-law.
 G received this angel purse,
 and a new book.
Here are the girls with Hayden, their cousin.
 And, MC wearing her beads.
After my sister left, we put all the kids in their pj's and hung out just a little bit longer. The girls had a lot of fun playing together.
They even made super model poses on the "stage."

Christmas Morning

DJ, the girls, and I celebrated Christmas on Saturday, the 22nd. We asked Santa to come to our house early so we could visit family and get to our bowl game. It worked out really well, even though the week leading up to our Christmas was pretty stressful with getting the house cleaned, laundry washed, presents wrapped, and clothes packed. But, we made it through, and i'm so glad we were able to celebrate early!

I didn't take a lot of pictures of "Angel" our elf this year. Mostly, because I was exhausted and left DJ in charge of helping her move around the house. She wasn't even sneaky this year, because we just didn't have the energy. But, G really loved finding her every day. This was her very last hiding spot before leaving for the North Pole.
And, some of our decorations on the mantle.....
DJ gave me a DSLR camera for Christmas, and all of these pictures were taken about 1/4 of the way through of our Christmas morning! I'll have to upload the first part of our Christmas morning later.

Both girls received a castle for Christmas. G received Cinderella's castle, and MC received the Little People's castle- they both loved them!

G was also given her lunch bag and matching backpack that she'll be able to use for kindergarten next year.

G received this lime green and pink lap desk to use in the car, and for any homework she may end up with in the coming years!
It was so fun to watch MC open gifts this year. I think she was a little confused as to why there were presents under the tree when she woke up Saturday morning, but as soon as she realized there were fun toys inside those packages, she became really excited! She would bring us a present, hand it to one of us, and say, "help, help" while throwing her hands up in the air (because she's not good at signing 'help').

MC absolutely loved this puppy dog that she received from her aunt and uncle and cousins in Florida. She wanted it out of the box right away and just hugged on the puppy.

G received this purse, and wanted to color it right away too!

DJ bought me new house slippers so I won't have to steal his anymore!
DJ received a lot of new clothes. He always complains during the year that he never gets to buy new clothes (because us girls always are), so I make sure to buy him a lot at Christmas!
G received her very own pair of binoculars in her stocking!
MC loved her reindeer cup that she received!

 MC also got new socks!
DJ's grandparents sent us each cards with some money inside!
Once our presents were opened, we let the girls play with their presents, while I cooked breakfast, cleaned up the kitchen, and started laundry!

We managed to get out the door by about 1:30 in order to get to Gee's house!
