Sick Baby

The last few days have been spent with a baby that does not feel well at all! MC's daycare teacher reported to us on Monday that she coughed her entire nap and didn't sleep well. She was up a few times throughout Monday night as well, but didn't have a temperature in the morning, so we went ahead and took her to daycare.

I got a phone call around 10 am on Tuesday morning, that MC had a 101 temperature. Thankfully, DJ was able to pick MC up from daycare, and I was able to finish a few more hours of work only leaving me to take a 1/2 day off. MC slept most of Tuesday, and was acting happier Tuesday evening although her breathing was off. I can't really describe it, other than she just seemed like it was an effort to take good breaths.

We went ahead and kept her home today, and decided to take her to the pediatrician to get things checked out. Poor baby has an ear infection and bronchilitus- which is just a form of lower respiratory virus. DJ and I were able to split the day at work today as well, but tomorrow (Thursday), DJ will keep MC home for the day. He may run up to the football office, and let her take her afternoon nap in his office, so he can get some work done, but I must catch up at work.

I must admit, that it's been nice being at home for a few extra hours, and I think we're almost caught up on our laundry! We've also had plenty of home-cooked meals this week.... Neither of these things happen too often when we're both working so much! I hate that she's sick, and that it's caused us to slow down, but sometimes, that's just what we need!
