Getting By...

05.00

The girls and I just got back to Tulsa from spending a few days in Arkansas with my parents. I didn't have time to blog last week before we left, but after seeing DJ Saturday night at football, here's how the rest of our week home went!

Before going to bed Saturday night, I thought I heard on the news that it was going to thunderstorm Sunday morning, and I didn't want to take the girls to church by myself, so we stayed home. I managed to get some sewing done, and we just hung out and had a low key day. For the record, it didn't rain. I could've taken the girls to church by myself, but I just wasn't ready to brave it.

Monday was a long day. I'm not even sure what went wrong, my post baby brain isn't functioning properly, but it just wasn't a good day.
Although, Megan was all smiles at some point, but the day ended in me pouring two glasses of wine at 5:00:
It was good and I enjoyed every last drop. I'm pretty sure I could've had a third glass, but then I would've finished the bottle and I wanted to save it.
Addy Pearl turned exactly one month old on Monday the 5th. This is the only picture I took of her that day. Gone are the cute onesie stickers that Megan had monthly. I'm still in my pj's and i'm pretty sure this picture was taken after both of the big girls finally went to bed.

I spent Monday evening watching The Bachelorette and I was so excited with the announcement of the new Bachelor!

Tuesday, we got up and I made breakfast for the girls and then Megan, Addy and I spent the morning cuddling and watching t.v.

Then, Megan started to vacuum and it was so cute until she thought it was hilarious while she ran toward me and tried bumping into my legs1
Addy was sleepy.
By Tuesday afternoon the girls were driving me crazy and I was tired of being stuck in the house. I decided that after nap time I would load the girls up and we would go to Target to buy Gretchen's school supplies.
Here she is in the school supply aisle with a few of her supplies. I cannot believe that she starts kindergarten next week!

Wednesday morning the girls and I snuggled in the bed and watched a few cartoons before we got up for the day.

Later that morning, the girls were sharing a bean bag and it melted my heart. I love when they get along, and there hadn't been much of that over the last few days!
This is sad, but since Addy arrived, we watch t.v. from nine until noon... I attempt to get the house picked up, Megan will play or help me clean, but the t.v. is on. #goaheadandjudge
Wednesday night DJ came home and I made him hold Addy for me for a while so I could have some me time, which likely included me sitting in his chair and watching t.v. or playing on the computer.
Thursday morning the girls and I played for a while, and the t.v. actually stayed off for a good portion of the morning! I spent the day packing for our trip to Arkansas, and one of the coaches wives came over to help out and play with the girls and see Addy. It was nice to be able to get some things done, but it also throws the girls out of their routine and that drives my type A personality crazy. Megan took about a 45 minute nap, the house was louder than usual, and the girls were just begging for Ms Karen's attention.

Wednesday night I had made tacos for dinner, so Thursday night we had nachos. It was the only two times that I cooked.

The week before I had learned to be happy with the small accomplishments, and while this was still true the week was a little more rough and I was glad to be headed home to my mom's so we could have a little break.
