This post is a little pic heavy, but I didn't feel like breaking this post into two- so enjoy!
We had Gretchens's 5th birthday party on Saturday. We chose to have her party at Georgia's Art Studio. If you're a local, I highly recommend for parties! The owner was fabulous, and helped with set up, instructing the kids, and clean up! (And, the price was great!)
Here's Gretchen before her party.
Once guests arrived they were instructed on how to put on their smocks and were able to choose a piece of ceramic to paint.
G chose a "laying down horse".
Then, the kids came into the party room, and selected their paint colors. We chose the "paint and take" theme, which uses a different paint, but the kids were able to take home their creations that day rather than leaving them, having them fired, and them picked up later.
The kids quickly got to work painting their pieces.
The doughnut piggy bank was a very popular choice!
When kids were finished painting, they were able to leave the party room and go out into the play space. This gave me a chance to pick up dirty paint brushes and throw away any trash. The owner also came in to pick up the paints. She offered to change out the paper on the tables, but there were still a few kids painting, and wet ceramics, so I opted to leave the paper be.
Once the room was picked up, the kids came back in for cupcakes and juice.
We sang "Happy Birthday" to G.
And the kids all enjoyed the cupcakes!
I love this picture of G and a friend from her preschool class. He was sitting at the opposite end of the table and came down to talk to her. It gives me a glimpse of all the boys that will be wanting to talk to her in the future!
After cupcakes, G opened her presents.
She received tons of princess gifts- from dresses, to Rapunzel hair, and princess games.
We gave her a Sophia the First character set, and a Brave video game.
I love how the little ones gathered around, and were just as excited as G was as she was opening her presents.
G also received this precious chevron rain coat and a matching umbrella- it matches her skirt perfectly!
I cannot say enough- the party was fabulous! I was pretty stress free during the party, and all of the parents helped their kids with their projects. I really think all of the guests had a great time! I know that G was smiling throughout the entire party, and seeing how happy she was with her friends and celebrating was totally worth it!
