I'm starting us out on another home tour journey. Yes y'all, we've moved again. This time, it was only two doors down from our old house, and because we hated the house we were living in and we happened to luck out on a deal with the homeowner two doors down.
So, what better room to start off with than the girls bathroom. The guest bathroom. Because, every guest will need to know where your bathroom is, know you can see it, before you come over and use it.
The house came with this black "shelf" above the toilet and I wasn't quite sure what to do with it, besides take it down and spray paint it and put it back up. But quiet honestly, I don't have the energy for that, and I didn't want to flat out take it down and deal with the holes in the wall. We do not re-paint rent houses.
Thankfully, my grandma decided we could buy some fun colorful towels to the shelf, rather than use it for storage. The top shelf has a picture of MC in the tub, the 2nd has a towel and wash cloths hung up, and the third has a towel, hand towel, and wash cloth.
Now, please note, these are for decorative purposes only. I will kindly provide you with a separate hand towel for drying your hands. Nothing irks me worse, than a guest using my pretty towels to dry their hands.
We had this large focal wall, which needed art work. But, after purchasing the new shabby green rug and all my pretty (not for use) towels, art work was just another expense. I picked up these stick on wall decals from Target for $12.00, which is way cheaper than any art work that I would want.
My only problem is the owls. See y'all, I was an Alpha Gam in college, and we did not prefer those lovely Chi Omega's. Our mascot is the squirrel, while theirs is the owl. And while, I understand that owls are the new decorative kid touch, they make me cringe. Thank goodness this wall decal set included a squirrel or I might not have bought it at all.
The shower curtain is kaki and white striped. I bought it at Wal-Mart when DJ and I moved to Louisiana. And honestly, I love it. It's been in every guest bathroom we've had, and it's in good shape, so I wasn't ready to part with it. However, I am going to purchase some pink trim and hot glue along the bottom of the curtain for a fun touch, and because the curtain doesn't come all the way to the floor.
See those towels up there ^^^^^, they aren't for use either. But, they're pretty and add a pop of color! I also added a wall decal over there, I thought the hedgehog was cute "spying" on the girls.
