I mentioned in yesterdays post that my sister and her two kids came up last weekend for a quick visit. We had a low key Saturday, and enjoyed dinner out at Los Cabos, followed by a TU football stadium tour and a movie night.
Sunday, we went to the Oklahoma Aquarium. We were given season passes as a Christmas gift, and it was the best gift ever! I haven't been able to take the girls as much as I planned, but they are in awe with all of the fish every time we go, and MC is really being able to enjoy seeing and interacting with all of the fish more!
Here are all of the kids (minus Adalyn) before we went in.
We let MC wear her monkey backpack (for the first time) so she could walk, explore, and have a little more freedom. Plus, it's so hard to push a stroller through all of the visitors! She could climb up on the little steps and see the animals or DJ would hold her up. She would say, "hi fish" or "bye fish"... so cute!
G actually wasn't scared to touch the fish this time around. She's touched a few things in the past, but sometimes she's squeemish and won't touch anything. With her older cousin by her side, she wasn't afraid!
G became best buds with Hayden!
We decided to let the kids feed the turtles. G actually had her hand pretty much in the water and I was terrified a turtle would snap it off!
MC was just mesmerized by everything!
The fish kept swimming up right beside her face and she would giggle and laugh.
Heading into the shark exhibit.... why not pretend you're getting eaten!
Megan was a little afraid of the sharks swimming above her!
Looking at the coral reef. Adalyn slept the entire time in her sling.
With my three girls..... although I'm noticing now that DJ cut off Adalyn's head.... at least you can see her sweet bow!
Gretchen wanted another picture with Hayden.
She told me she was going to marry him, and then I had to explain that she can't because he's her cousin.
Megan loved jumping off the steps. She's discovered over the last month that she can jump with both feet off the ground, so she jumps all the time!
Such a fun way to spend a hot July Sunday!
