This was the perfect weekend to be together as a family. We had zero plans. No birthday parties, no family in town, no traveling, no dance recitals, nothing. It was perfect. I again have to apologize that my pictures are out of order. I know that I could mess with the html codes, but I think I might delete pictures again, and have to reload them. Which, doesn't sound appealing right now.
Sunday morning I made homemade pancakes thanks to a Martha Stewart recipe. I'm never buying Bisquick again. I never realized that making pancakes from scratch is just as easy as measuring the bisquick and adding milk and eggs. Plus, they taste so much better! After breakfast, we went to church and took 3 hour naps. We were obviously tired from Saturday's activities......
We decided to have our neighbor's over for dinner Saturday night. They have a two week old baby, and I promised I would cook them a meal, and life just seemed to get in the way. It was much easier to have them over rather than make double of a batch of a casserole and take to them, and way more fun!
DJ smoked pork tenderloin, and made a grilled potato salad. I made brownies and squash chips from a recipe on Pinterest (they were amazing, even the guys said so!)
The girls played in the yard most of Saturday.
MC didn't enjoy the sprinkler as much as G did.
MC also spent most of the day teething, complete with a runny nose and low-grade temp. Thankfully, she slept most of the day too, but you could tell that she just didn't feel well.
She did enjoying swinging for a little while between her naps!
Here's DJ hanging out before the smoking of the pork began. I think he was watering the grass at this point and letting G run through that sprinkler.
G also got to play in her water table.
Thursday evening, I took the girls to Target. I know this is way out of order, and Thursday isn't technically a weekend, but it is for me! MC was just hanging out in the buggy! It was so funny to see her all cock-eyed!
Back to Saturday.... here's MC in her baby pool. She didn't like it too much either!
G was begging to get in with her and MC just ended up crawling out of it!
I didn't get any pictures of the girls with our neighbor on Saturday evening, but the guys enjoyed good beer, a good game, and the girls played upstairs, while I enjoyed getting some baby love in on our new 2 week old neighbor!
