It's family and facebook official, so we might as well make it blog official too! We are expecting our 3rd baby around the beginning of July!!!!
DJ and I were totally caught off guard. I had mentioned the possibility of wanting a 3rd child, but DJ and I weren't 100% convinced. We were going to give it another year before making our official decision, but it seems God had other plans for us. I am about 8-9 weeks pregnant right now, and feeling pretty well. I'm tired, but I also have two kids and a full time job- so, that's no surprise!
I have my first doctor appointment in January. I'll be honest here, the thought of paying toward our deductible for the month of December, and then it not counting in January, and having to start all over, made me wait to make an appointment. I've started my pre-natals again, and I remember to not eat lunch meat or hot dogs, or fish high in mercury from my last two pregnancies. I guess with two other pregnancies and babies, I just think "I've got this."
We did an ultrasound last Wednesday, while I was at my mom's and from what we can tell, there's a baby in there!
Our family's reactions:
~ DJ and I were pretty shocked. We knew there was a possibility that I could be pregnant, but I don't think either of us wanted to admit it. The first two words in my head were "holy sh*t". The first few words out of DJ's mouth were, "I knew you were" followed by, "there goes my boat for another four years."
~ G was excited, and rubbed my belly and gave me a big hug! The funny thing was that the night before, she asked when I would have another baby in my belly. I told her not anytime soon- ha! She also told me that she and MC needed to share a room and have bunk beds.
~ My mom was beyond thrilled.
~ My stepdad laughed.
~ My brother and sister-in-law were not surprised at all!
~ My grandma, was disappointed, but warmed up to the idea within a few hours, and has already declared that it must be another girl.
~ DJ's dad and stepmom were shocked. Dianna screamed the loudest scream I've ever heard, and scared MC to death!
~ DJ's mom was excited...... He was on the phone when he told her, so I didn't get to hear her reaction, but I think he surprised her!
At 8-9 weeks, I have gained 2 lbs., but that could also be from all of the eating I did over Thanksgiving, and this past weekend! And, I'm still fitting in my clothes.
