I was completely dressed and ready to walk out the door when I went to get G dressed, and DJ tag-teamed this morning to get MC dressed. As I was helping G, I hear DJ say, "Oh no" with the ever so clear sound of panic in his voice. Turns out, MC cried last night and we both heard her, but by the time DJ could get to her, she had stopped, so he came back to bed. Well, miss MC had thrown up in her crib, and when we discovered her this morning, there were chunks on her sheet, her pillow, and matted in her hair.
My immediate thought was, bath. My next thought was, "i'm going to be late for work" and finally, who was going to stay home with her.
Thankfully, in football world, today is Friday, so DJ didn't have to be anywhere until about noon, which gave me the opportunity to get G out the door and work a half day.
And, for the record, I was still on time this morning! (A total rare feat!)
MC was napping when I got home, so I made the bed, ate lunch, and started the laundry. I also managed to start dinner.
She's awake now, and we've enjoyed some snuggles and are watching Bubble Guppies. I think i'm going to take her upstairs to play because I need to get some sewing and projects completed.
I'm not going to lie, this extra few hours off work is so beneficial! G is still at preschool enjoying her time with her friends, and I do hope that MC will go back down for a small nap in an hour, before we need to pick up G.
DJ should be home at a decent hour, and since MC had a bath this morning, we'll just need to bathe G. I hate that MC threw up and isn't feeling well, but I do love this relaxed day that i'm having.
