Today's house tour is of MC's bedroom. Her room was one of the rooms, that I disliked in our other Tulsa house, because of the boy blue walls, and the mismatched furniture.
We actually purchased her furniture last fall that will stay in her big girl room, and we only used her dresser in the last house. We went ahead and placed the feet on the dresser, and the mirror.
Here's one side of her dresser decor: We purchased the blue bird lamp from TJ Max, and I placed her Bitty Baby on top of her dresser. I added the white bird house and white bird, both from Hobby Lobby, and I still need to replace the picture in her mud pie crown frame! The pinecone, I've had forever, and I spray painted it white. The recordable books were gifts from grandparents, and she has her silver baby cup and rattle.
Here's a view from her room, when you walk in the door. Her crib was G's crib, and it was given to us by my cousin. I'm not in love with it, but I'm glad that we didn't have to purchase a piece, that wouldn't be used forever. My mom made all of MC's bedding, and I made a pennant banner to hang on the front of her crib.
Here's her a wide view shot of her dresser and toy corner. I find the tree painting online, for about $200.00 and we found a painter to recreate it on canvas.
On the other side of her dresser, is a framed hand crocheted bib, that was mine when I was a baby, her pink piggy bank, the twine wrapped "M" that I made for her, and two of her photos.
This "Pray for Your Children" print was a baby gift from our head coaches wife. I absolutely love it.
I used a basket and canvas tub to store her toys, and purchased her night light from Hobby Lobby.
Above her rocking chair, is a silver engraved plate that has her name, date of birth, weight, and length, a dress that was mine as a baby, the hooks, from Hobby Lobby, and a whimsical bird picture, that I made. I cut out birds from scrapbook paper, taped jute to the back of them, and hung the other end to the back of the frame.
